He put his arms down as a hurt expression took over his face, he nodded and went to the passenger seat to get in. I went for the middle back seat so I could sit next to Nia and put in my headphones.

Food guy, as I'd started calling him in my head, sat in the seat next to me but just continued eating whatever he could 'magic' up. It was crammed in the back, our legs touched whenever one of us moved, I do not like it. I start fidgeting with my fingers trying to keep myself calm so I didn't end up having a panic attack.

As the car started up I laid my head at the bottom of my baby's car seat and just took her in. Looking at her calms me, I stroked her face. I love her little cheeks so much.

Painful thoughts entered my mind as I internally trailed off and sighed, she looked so much like her dad, if only he were still here. She has his big green eyes and his nose that has the slightest bump on but you wouldn't notice unless you were looking close.

My father tried to start a conversation with me but I was so tired I couldn't even process what he was saying, eventually he gave up and the car ride seemed to tense. Rocco was glancing back at me with a frown every now and then through the rearview mirror, this guy needs to chill. Alessandro, however just kept eating his food getting crumbs everywhere.

I adverted my gaze back to little Roro and she pulled a funny face in her sleep and it was all it took for me to smile. I kissed her hand and promptly fell asleep.

When I woke up I was slightly disorientated and not 100% sure where I was. I looked around and realised we were just pulling into a driveway and that Alessandro aka food guy, as he had introduced himself to me as, was waking me up.

I let out a quiet yawn and turn to check on Nia and her temperature. It wasn't doing great but she did feel slightly cooler.

"What time is it?" I say absentmindedly to no one in particular.

"Time for some more food," Alessandro says from beside me as he whips out a slice of pepperoni pizza.

What on earth... how? I'm pretty sure my face is displaying my lack of processing here. How did he just get a slice of pizza while in the car? It's not possible.

I blink my eyes a few times to get over the whole pizza fiasco and focus on getting myself and Nia out of the now unmoving vehicle.

Undoing the seatbelts and bending over her seat to open the door I grab the raised handle of her seat and shakily hold it up as I move over to get out. Sometimes I forget how heavy she's getting.

As I'm balancing her out the door someone else walks over and grabs her from my hands. Rage and an unbelievable amount of fear rose in my chest and I rush out and grabbed her so fast I almost question if I was even in the car in the first place. I take multiple steps back away from the unknown person that grabbed her.
