We Waited So Long <<Scorose>>

Chapter 7

Sorry about the hiatus everybody. I've gone back and edited the majority of the chapters already online, just to make them a bit better (hopefully). I hope you like this chapter, I'm not too sure about this one 😁

Scorpius
I place my hands on Roses shoulders and take a deep breath as she says, "Me and Scorpius are going out."

Everyone in the room turns to Roses dad Ron. He stands up his look kind of thunder and takes one step towards us. "Don't you dare hurt my daughter." He says in a low murderous tone and walks out of the room swiftly followed by Harry.

I let out my breath and give Rose a tight hug I can feel her shaking against me and she turns, leaning in to my chest. I hug her close to me, trying to stop her from shaking.

Teddy smiles to me, "Congratulations you two." Ron walks back standing in the doorway as Teddy continues. "We can all see how much you care for each other."

"Malfoy." Harry beckons to me from behind Ron. I extricate myself carefully from Rose, planting a quick kiss on her forehead much to Ron's distaste. "I'll see you in a minute yeah?" I stand and follow Harry and Ron out into the front garden.

"Look sir," I start quickly.

"Don't." Ron holds up one finger and glares me right in the eye.

"Scorpius," Harry smiles to me with Ron glaring between me and Harry "Now I know you and you know me yes?"

I nod quietly, scared of where this conversation was going.

"And I know you'd never do anything to hurt Rose is that right?"  Harry continues and Ron stifles a laugh

"Yes sir, honestly." I say turning to Ron, "It's always been her for me. I would never, ever hurt her. I love your daughter."

Ron starts to choke "Oh you do do you?" He scoffs, rolling his eyes. "I can't remember how many times your father said he 'loved' someone."

"Sir," I say now straining my polite tone, "I am not my father. I would never hurt your daughter or anyone else. All I want is for Rose to be happy. That's  what you want to isn't it?"

"Of course," Ron folded his arms. "But I want her to be safe and comfortable too."

"She is safe and comfortable with me. And she's happy with me, please let me prove it to you," I beg, "let me prove that I love her."

Harry turned to Ron. "Let him try Ron."

"Fine." Ron grumbled and walked back into the house without another word.

Rose
I breathe a sigh of relief as Scorpius walks in behind my dad and uncle Harry beaming from ear to ear. He sits beside kissing me quickly. I smile as he pulls away. I look over his face, no broken nose, must have gone well. I smile weakly and he wraps his arms around me.

We spend hours talking. I guess that's what happens when you have a big family. Teddy got accepted into the Chudley Canons which made my dad very excited. We all talked about our subjects at school and all the normal stuff. I leant back against Scorpius and he started playing with my hair, turning it over and sliding it around in his fingers. I smile and look around at my family and realise I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. I'm happy with my family and I'm so happy with Scorpius.
