Scorpius
My fingers tap nervously on my knee as we sit on the train back to kings cross station. Rose sits next to me her head leant on my shoulder, asleep. Her red hair falls in front of her eyes and I wind it absent middle around my fingers. Albus smiles as he watches us from the other side of the carriage. I take a deep breath, still scared to be going back to the Weasley house for Christmas. I've met the Weasley/ Potters before of course but never as Roses boyfriend. I try not to imagine her dads reaction when we tell him."It'll be okay you know," Albus smiles to me, nodding towards Rose. "It doesn't take long to see that you really love her. You'd never hurt her and it's easy to see."
I smile softly and wrap my arm around Rose, pulling her closer into me. She shifts, wrapping her arms around my waist and burying her face into my chest.
As we near the platform I kiss Rose gently and she slowly opens her eyes.
"Good morning." She smiles and straightens up pulling down the cuff of her red turtleneck.
"Afternoon actually," I smile as the train grinds to a halt. "It's time,"
Her eyes grow wide and scared and she burrows into my chest when we stand up. "Don't worry about it," I smile as she looks up at me. "Are we telling them straight away, in the car or when we get there?"
"When we get to the burrow." Rose nods as she steps forward pulling her trunk from the shelf and rolling it out into the train corridor.
"Okay," I smile and pull her back, "then I better do this now while I still can." I pull her close to me and press my lips to hers.
She smiles as we pull away and walk off the train.
Rose
Mum pulls into the driveway of the burrow and we pile out of the car one after the other. It still blows my mind that we all manage to fit in the tiny car. We walk together into my dads childhood home with my parents up at the front and all the rest of us trailing behind lugging our suitcases. I look up at Scorpius and give him a weak smile and my knees start to tremble as I watch the back of my fathers head. I'm so scared of what he'll say. One thing I know for sure is it will be 10 times worse than what James said.Scorpius places his hand lightly on my back and gives me an encouraging smile.
I drag my suitcase through the door behind Albus and leave it in the pile of suitcases by the door. I take Scorpius hand despite his warning looks and walk in with him by my side.
"Hi granny!" I hug my grandma Molly and let Scorpius' hand go.
"Hi rose my love," she smiles and then turns to Scorpius, "Scorpius! it's good to see you again."
"Good to see you too Mrs Weasley." Scorpius says politely. I smile and move throughout my uncles and aunts and older cousins hugging everyone in sight.
I wrap my arms around my mum and whisper to her, "I'm scared mum."
She smiles as she pulls away, "it'll all be okay." She reassures me. I smile to her as I move away.
Once everyone's hugged everyone we all pile into the living room and claim seats as quickly as possible. We let granny Weasley sit down first and then we all scramble to claim the few remaining seats and the rest of us sit defeated in the floor. Scorpius sits on the floor leaning against the sofa leg and I lean against him. He looks down and nods to me slowly.
I take a deep breath. "I have something to tell you all."
