Relatives? What kind of family does she even have? The elevator stopped at the penthouse suite. He wanted to know more about her- he wanted to know everything around her. He reckoned that she had a simple background.

Kaia Bello was an only child of a couple that had trouble conceiving- she was a miracle baby that her mother and father conceived when they were at the age of 52.

She was brought up with a lot of love from her parents- her parents were well-known in S Nation. She preferred not disclosing her family background to people. She wanted everyone to treat her sincerely. She didn't want anyone trying to get close to her just because of her status or money.

She looked at Ken, "Can I borrow your laptop?"

Ken nodded and took his spare laptop that he keeps in his study. He grabbed it and gave it to her, "What do you do for a living?" he asked.

"Well, I had experiences being an Actuary, a Programmer, a Data Scientist, and I was also an executive before but I was laid off when my parents died." she said as she started hacking into surveillance footages from the shooting earlier and erasing it. She didn't mind showing him that she could hack- he even saw her pull out a gun. Why hide anything now?

Ken was surprised to see her easily hacking into the surveillance system. She wasn't only beautiful but she was also really smart.

She looked at him, "You must be curious to why I could handle a gun. My parents were overprotective of me and wanted me to learn how to defend myself."

"So, you came to A Nation to hide from them?"

She nodded. She hated how greedy her father's siblings were- they kept on insisting that she was adopted when they have conducted multiple DNA tests to prove that she was indeed their biological niece. She even gave up her CEO position to her uncles because she was taken held captive in her home and was tortured for weeks until she signed the transferring of assets to her uncles.

She didn't transfer all of her shares of the company which was at 51% but she gave them her position and gave her three uncles additional 10% of shares since she originally had 81% of shares in the company. Did they want her 51% of shares? They don't have to worry; she was planning on selling her shares anyway. She knew that her uncles nor their children have the slightest bit of talent or intellect when it came to business.

They just wanted the title and the money.

She left S Nation silently without any complaints. Why do they still want her dead?

She wiped out all traces of her so that people can't trace her, "I'm just staying for a few days before I figure out where to go next."

"Thank you for this. I'll give this back to you tomorrow."

Ken looked at her, "I can help you."

She looked up at him, he does look capable- seeing his condominium and having a really expensive car and driver was enough to know how capable he was. His name sounds familiar- she should look him up later.

Kaia didn't need money. She wasn't short of money- in fact, her parents had multiple variable life insurance policies that left her practically with a large amount of money that she didn't even need to work for her entire life.

She was practically earning billions per day with her job and position for 8 years. What she desperately needed was to be safe from people trying to constantly kill her- she wanted to live.

She wanted to get married and have a family of her own. Her parents showed her a great example of what love was like and she dreamt of finding hers.

"Think about it. I can help you out but of course, I wouldn't do it for free." he said, smirking as he thought about the payment that he would want from Kaia. He wanted her to be his.

"For now, you can just rest. I'll give you three days to think about it." he said as he handed her a paper with his number that he wrote when he was in the car before he invited Kaia in.

"Rest assured that I'll protect you from anything, if you agree."

Kaia nodded at him, "Thank you for letting me stay. I'll definitely think about it."
