From the past hour that Kaia had told Ken about her background, she had been constantly peeking through his door as she cooked and did laundry.

Ken's reaction was surprised but calm, "Baby, it doesn't really matter to me."

In fact, to Ken, it made a lot of sense now why her relatives wanted her killed. Her parents were really wealthy and she practically made LN Corporation reach their all-time high in just a span of a few weeks of being the CEO. He was thrilled that his wife was someone so amazing.

It made sense why Jeremy bowed to her and it made sense why she had that exclusive black card. He was really amused that she was asking him if he was uncomfortable or angry at her and how cute she was peeking through the tiny slit of the door of the study to check if he was really okay with wanting to marry her.

He couldn't help but be in a good mood. She was too kind and innocent for him but he loved it! He loved her innocence. She was now in front of his door, "Baby, if you want me to feel better can you hug me instead?"

She went in, he noticed that she was still wearing his shirt but it was now tucked in her black tailored shorts. She hugged him and stroked his back.

"I'm not mad or upset, baby. Do you think I'd be upset?"

"I don't know." she said. "I just want to make sure that you're not upset."

He chuckled and placed a chaste kiss on her neck, "I'm fine."

"Lunch is done." she said. "Do you want to eat or wait for Sarah and her fiancé?"

"Are they going to eat here for lunch?" he asked.

She gasped and hugged him tight, "I forgot to tell you!"

He chuckled as he stroked her hair, "Baby, it's fine."

She pulled away from the hug and kissed his nose. "I'll be better for you." she said.

"Baby, you're perfect." he said, smiling at the sweet kiss she gave him. "Let's go."

They walked out of the study, hand-in-hand, "What's for lunch?" he asked.

"I prepared a lot." she said.

When they got to the dining table, he saw that the table was full of bright colored dishes that would whet one's appetite. He looked at his beautiful woman, she can really cook.

"This is the Caprese salad." she said, pointing to the simple salad she prepared. "This is the roasted butternut squash soup."

"This is the scallops with citrus ginger sauce, grilled chicken souvlaki with dairy-free tzatziki, and this is roasted branzino with citrus pesto." she smiled as she could feel herself salivate from hunger. "I also cooked white rice."

He was really impressed at the plating and how every dish smelled. He sat down and the door of the condo opened revealing Sarah and her fiancé, Rome Henderson.

"Kaia! This is my fiancé, Rome Henderson. He works for my brother in the Creed Group." Sarah said.

Kaia smiled at Rome, "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Kaia Bello."

Rome smiled and shook her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Rome looked at Ken who was looking at the dishes and contemplating what he should eat first. "Brother-in-law." he called out.

Ken looked at him and sat down, "Rome, sit down. Let's eat lunch. My fiancée cooked all of this." he said with pride.

Rome stiffened. Is this really Ken Creed? He doesn't even talk a lot whenever he was in the office.

Kaia sat down beside him. Ken looked at her, "Should I eat the salad or soup first?"

"I like to eat the soup first." she said, smiling as she pushed the soup towards him.

Rome couldn't help but look at Sarah. His boss was so cold and ruthless that no one dared to cross him- he did whatever he wanted no matter the consequences- but here he was asking the beautiful woman beside him if he should have soup or salad first!

Just yesterday, he fired an employee for making a presentation that had a font that he didn't like. For the six years that he had been working for him, he had never seen him smile or laugh. He was always emotionless and aloof but right now, he was like a completely different person.

Kaia ate the soup and glanced at Ken who had wide eyes, "It's really good."
