Part 52 - Searching for a message

I smiled looking towards Todoroki before letting my smile fade "I'm sick of pretending to be happy all the time," I felt Todoroki's grip leave my wrist so I sighed "I'll see you back at the dorms," I then made my way to the changing rooms, but as I was placing my suit back up I heard Mic speak with open arms "come here Tennie-Chan," I nodded quickly hugging him tightly and as we stood hugging in the doorway of the classroom I spoke "I'm so tired," he hummed hugging me even tighter and so we stayed like that for a little longer. 

But as Shota spoke Mic let go "Tenshi with me," I hummed giving Mic a small smiled before I followed behind Shota but as I saw he was leading me out of the school I spoke "where are we?" he cut me off "somewhere," I hummed following behind him still until I heard Hawks speak "Kid?" I looked towards Hawks, then hummed "hey," I saw his face drop as he looked to Shota who pulled him aside quickly, so I slumped against a lamppost looking around to see where I was only for Hawks to speak picking me up "looks like you're staying with me for a couple of days," I nodded slightly seeing Shota jumped away. As we got to Hawks apartment I spoke "a bit too fancy for you isn't it birdman," he scoffed ruffling my hair "go shower and I'll put out some clothes," I hummed making my way into the apartment opening doors until I eventually found a bathroom so I undressed before hopping into the shower, as I was washing through my hair however I saw Hawks come into the room and sit on the floor "what's going on Kid?" I hummed shaking my head "it doesn't matter," I heard the older man grumble, so I turned off the water grabbing a towel before stepping out of the shower "you don't want to hear my problems Kei," I didn't hear anything. 

So I grumbled sitting down in front of him only for him to speak "I could see it," I looked up to meet his eyes "I could see you weren't the same since coming back from the league," I felt my breath hitch slightly, then I spoke "no I'm not okay, I've put on a brave face for everyone because I just can't get over Kyu, Dabi and everything shit that is going on around me," I gripped my towel then spoke almost breathless "I just feel so tired," I sat there for a minute as the apartment went dead silent only for me to look up seeing Hawks with tears in his eyes. So I slowly got to my feet only for Hawks to pull me into a hug and as he cried slightly on my shoulder I hugged him tightly not feeling a thing and after a couple of minutes, I sighed taking the hoodie which was on the floor "I'll change okay?" he nodded, so I made my way down the hall to his bedroom and changed into the hoodie after drying my body and hair but as I came out of his room I saw Hawks smiling as I felt a feather pick up the back of the hoodie and throw me onto the bed "sleep I'm going out for a minute," I hummed lumping back "stay safe," he hummed before closing the door softly. 

As I lied staring at the ceiling of the bedroom I took a deep breath feeling a darkness growing inside of my chest so I grumbled grabbing my UA skirt from the bathroom before running out to the balcony and as I looked over Musutafu I grumbled jumping, as I was flying through alleyway after alleyway I finally stopped to catch my breath only to hear his gravelly voice come from behind me "looking for me little mouse," I squeaked slightly stumbling forward only for me to land on my face so I grumbled kneeling slightly only for me to see Dabi crouching in front of me "so what did you need?" I sighed. then I spoke glaring slightly "do you feel empty, like there not much left for you to do?" I saw him think for a minute before sitting down "sometimes," I sighed looking down at my hands "maybe he was right?" I saw Dabi look my way confused, so I spoke "one for all said that my quirk meant I was destine to become a villain," I heard Dabi scoff then he spoke "Tenshi your not meant to be a villain," I went to speak but he stopped me "remember back at the facility you were told to kill me or Hawks as a training exercise but you couldn't do it," I hummed. 

Then he spoke "that's why you can't be a villain," he poked my chest "your too good in there, even if you feel shit now I'm sure Hawks will come up with something to cheer you up," I hummed slightly then smiled "you haven't changed after all," he scoffed so I sighed "I should probably get back to Kei, he might think I ran off to kill myself," I heard Dabi laugh slightly, so I smiled slightly "see you around," he hummed and so I took off but as I got halfway to Hawks apartment I panted slightly landing on the edge of a building with a grumble "shit," I placed a hand on my stomach before walking further onto the roof. As I winced slightly falling to my knees I heard Hawks speak "Tenshi," I slowly got to my feet "I went to stretch my wings," he hummed picking me up before flying with me in his arms to the apartment but as we got to the apartment Hawks spoke placing me on my feet "what's wrong with your stomach," I shook my hands, then he spoke "probably last night's drinking fighting me," he hummed then spoke "how about I make us some food," I nodded slowly with a smile and so after a couple of minutes I chuckle as some chicken nuggets and ramen were placed on the table.
