2. Peeling Back the Layers (Sexual content)

Sam and Nick Fury had completed watching the video files and while the videos didn't have any real answers, the last set showing the Winter Soldier's encounters with Solanna Santana provided tantalizing clues to a mystery. They requested we both come and asked if Wanda could attend as well.

We were in the small conference room with the blinds drawn and Friday was asked to provide a summary of what was learned. It basically confirmed what was already commonly known about James. Then he asked Friday to summarize the discrepancies.

1.    James insistence on there being only 23 women instead of the 24 listed in the HYDRA files. Solanna Santana was the missing woman. She was also the last woman in the breeding program which ended in 1988.

2.    In 1989 Santana gave birth to a son, father unknown. The child, Ernesto, did not show any enhanced abilities.

3.    In early 2003 HYDRA scientists had successfully created a cloned embryo of the Winter Soldier.

4.    The Winter Soldier was dispatched to Cuba to eliminate a high level government official in March 2003. The day after he left the clone was discovered to be missing.

5.    Five days after his arrival in Havana the Winter Soldier was discovered wandering the streets with no memory of his mission, his arrival, or his activities while there.

6.    Solanna Santana and her now 14 year old son vanished and were believed to have escaped to the United States but no record of anyone with their names existed in immigration records.

Fury cleared his throat and asked everyone not to jump to conclusions just yet. Then he turned to James.

"We are going to show 30 seconds of video of the Winter Soldier during a breeding session. There will be no sound and we are speeding it up to double time. First of all, that man isn't you, it's him – the tool of HYDRA. Sam and I fully believe that and you will too after you see the next video. If it gets too much turn away but don't leave."

James agreed and he watched for 20 seconds before he covered his face with his hands. They were as brutal as he had hinted on our honeymoon. The man was a wild animal, using violence to brutalize the women. For the act itself he often restrained them in handcuffs. Nick asked Wanda for a brief assessment of James emotions and he consented to her touch. She must have soothed him somewhat because he was able to collect himself.

"It's one thing to have those memories," said James, "but to see it from a camera's point of view... That was hard. Promise me they will be destroyed, all of them."

"I promise," replied Fury. "The final video is of your two sessions with Solanna. We are going to see them in their entirety. She speaks in Spanish at times so Friday will provide a closed caption. Focus on her hands, it will likely jump out at you like it did to Sam and me."

The first video showed Solanna sitting alone in a room with a bed, and handcuffs attached to the wall. She seemed to be concentrating. The Winter Soldier came in and looked confused. He saw her and became upset. Friday transcribed the entire conversation.

WS: No, no! I won't, you're just a kid.

SS: Please you must or we will both be punished.

WS: You don't understand! I'm not him, I'm not a .....

SS: I know. I sensed you here and I brought you out to submit myself to you. They expect the act to be completed.

She went to him and led him to the bed where she touched his temples and forehead. Then she spoke again.
