I heard everyone coming back and was pleasantly surprised by Donald Lambert arriving with them. We showed him to the spare room to drop off his things. He brought a file folder out with him. Before he told us what was in it he asked Sarah to send her boys on an errand. Once they were gone he placed the folder in front of James and told him to open it. There was a single sheet of paper.

Approved by: Fred Larson, Special Assistant to Office of Special ProjectsJames face went pale and he pushed the document away from him. Sam looked at it then passed it to me.
"Nick Fury told me he had heard of this document but how did you get it?" asked James.
"I would tell you if I knew but I don't so I can't," replied Donald. "I packed my bags, then made sure I had everything ready in my briefcase to file an injunction when I arrived here. During the flight I opened my briefcase and there it was, on top of everything."
James showed Donald the business card that was handed to him by the senior agent.
"What the hell?" said Donald. "I don't understand. Someone in the CIA helped steal the files?"
James checked his email and found a reply from Brad Dixon. The random sample of ten listening devices revealed them to be wires connected to a battery, nothing more. They were made to show up on the sweep. Everyone was talking at once, except for James. He was thinking and stood up from the chair to look out the window. I went over to him and he put his arm around me but said nothing. Then a look passed over his face and he smiled as an idea came to him.
"Donald, get your briefcase," said James. "I want to try something."
Donald went to the spare room and returned carrying his briefcase. He put it on the table and opened it. James put the file inside it and closed the lid, then locked it. He listened carefully to the briefcase then smiled a little smile.
"Open your briefcase," he ordered Donald.
He entered his combination into the lock and opened the lid. The first file was gone and in its place was a slightly thicker file. He took it out and looked inside.
"It's a different folder," said Donald. "How did you know?"
"I didn't, not until it happened," said James. "But sometimes the simplest answer is the right answer."
"Occam's Razor," I exclaimed. "I remember that from the movie Contact."
"Would someone please explain?" asked Sarah.
