I drove my new car to Sam and Sarah's but it turned out they both knew about it. Marcus, at least didn't know and was impressed with it. His children were there and I was glad we brought the dogs for them to play with. About an hour after we got there James and Sam left to pick up Alison at the airport. I knew James would tell Sam about the dream so I told Sarah and Marcus.

"Let me get this straight," said Sarah, "you and Buck had a one night stand in 2016 that you both repressed until you dreamt of it last night. Wanda has confirmed it? You two sure were star crossed lovers then. Seven years until you found each other again."

"I think it's romantic," said Marcus, "but I like how we met across a crowded room, then as dance partners and soon to be partners in life."

He raised Sarah up from the kitchen chair and started dancing with her. She was laughing as he tried his dance moves on her. His daughter stood there with a big smile on her face and he started trying his dance moves on her. She giggled and we all laughed.

"Marcus, any decision on a wedding date?" I asked.

"We've talked but can't seem to agree," he said guardedly. "I would marry Sarah tomorrow on the boat if I could. I understand you and Buck married two weeks after you were engaged. I'm like that. I don't want to wait. But I want Sarah to be happy so it's her call."

I looked at Sarah and saw her stubborn face. She could be like that. Fortunately Sam returned before she had to give an answer. Alison and I hugged as it had been a while since we last saw her. She couldn't believe how big Steve was. Sam told us to go for a walk as he wanted to play with his godson. The dogs came with us and I asked her what she remembered of our trip to Bucharest.

"I remembered you hooked up with that scruffy blue eyed guy," she said. "That was so unlike you and then you wouldn't talk about it. Wasn't that the same time they caught the Winter Soldier there?"

I waited to see if she realized the connection but she didn't.

"Did you ever have a good look at the guy in the market?" I asked.

"No, except he had eyes as blue as Buck...," she stopped and whirled around to me. "That was him? Buck was your one night stand in Bucharest? But when you met Buck later you didn't recognize him!"

I told her about the dream we had shared and how Wanda had confirmed the memory of each other had been repressed for all of those years.

"You both had to go through so much to finally end up with each other," she mused. "You are definitely soul mates."

We walked back to the house in time to be drafted into food preparation along with everyone else as Sarah was an equal opportunity task master. By the time we all sat down for Christmas dinner we had all worked hard for our meal. Sam said grace and made sure everyone had enough turkey meat, mashed potatoes, stuffing and anything else they wanted. There was no sound from anyone except Steve who was very loudly stuffing ground up turkey and mashed potatoes in his mouth with his hands. His manners were atrocious but now that he was eating more solid food he was drinking less breast milk and I was finally able to wear my pre-pregnancy bras. The twin fountains were also now a thing of past, mourned only by James.

We had to give Steve a bath after and changed him into sleepers. He fell asleep in James arms and then slept all the way home in the car. He woke up once during the night, demanding the breast for old time sake but James sat with us and held Steve's hand as he nursed for comfort. At one point he pulled himself off and climbed onto his father's lap for cuddles and fell asleep. He never asked for the breast again although I continued to pump and freeze bottles for another week. I missed it, once he was finally done, but it had been his decision when to grow up into a little boy.
