"Oi, Shittykawa!" A spiky brunette yelled out to his boss who was currently waltzing through the street like he wasn't the very wanted leader of a very powerful gang. "Be careful, last time you were careless like this you almost got run over."
"So mean, Iwa-chan! It was taken care of so what does it matter?" He continued into a crowd of people, leaving his angry companion behind. "This cafe looks nice." Looking back, he didn't see Iwaizumi, but continued into the shop anyway.
Upon entering, his eyes landed on a girl sitting alone in the corner. He placed his order before walking over and sitting down across from her. "Hey, what's a pretty lady like you doing out here alone? There are some dangerous people around, you know." She didn't glance up at him, just continuing to sip on her drink. "Not very talkative, huh?"
"Like you said, there are some dangerous people around here. You never know who you could be sitting across from." She sounded slightly nervous but her posture held a sense of confidence.
"Well, how much do you know about these so called dangerous people?" He was interested to see if someone like her knew anything about him or the various other mobs in the area.
She looked like she was debating whether to talk to him or not before giving in. "I've done my fair share of research on different mafias here. I can never find any names or faces though, so I assume they mostly control the media as well. I'm always pretty cautious when meeting people, I apologize."
"No problem, I can understand that. Tooru Oikawa, and you are?"
"Just call me Y/n, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Please, the pleasure is all mine. It's not everyday I get to meet such a pretty lady." He winked as he held out a hand to her, which she offered back. "You're also a smart one, aren't you?"
"I guess you could say that, yes."
"So, do you know any names of the mafia groups? I've always been interested in them myself." If she said too much about Aoba Johsai, he'd have no choice but to kill her. And the person in charge of controlling the media.
"Ah, well I know for sure that there's Karasuno, Shiratorizawa and Nekoma. Their information isn't very well hidden from the public eye. As for the others, there's only really rumours but I think there was Fukurodani, Aoba Johsai, maybe Illusion and Inarizaki? There might be a few more, though." She paused for a second to think. "If the rumours really are true, Illusion is a newer gang and the others are trying to take them out. It scares me to think there could be such violent people this close to us."
Oikawa noticed something during her little speech. She looked up to meet his eyes when saying Aoba Johsai, yet looked away as she stated the others. She must have known who he was. Then why was she still talking to him?
"Not all of them are too violent. Karasuno for example, they mostly just deal with gathering information, don't they? If you ask me, Illusion is probably the most brutal out of all of them. They're said to be quick on their feet and their ability to blend in makes them dangerous. There's also word that a top notch assassin who goes by the name 'Rabbit' works for them." He studied her face to see if there was any give away as to who she worked with. "Although, Shiratorizawa has been said to be cruel as well. The sly foxes of Inarizaki, too. They supposedly control everything in their territory absolutely, I'd hate to get on their bad side. Torture is an everyday activity for them." Still no reaction. Was she really just a civilian with a lot of knowledge on the mafia?
"Maybe, but they all kill and have violent tendencies none the less." She stood up from her seat, placing money on the counter and walking back towards the table. "It was nice talking to you, Oikawa. I hope we meet again under a similar circumstance." She placed something in front of him before exiting. Picking up the item, Oikawa could see that it was a small paper rabbit.
Iwaizumi then entered the cafe to see Oikawa sitting alone with an annoyed and angry grin, chuckling. "I told you not to run off earlier, Illusion has been spotted around here lately and we don't want any confrontations yet!"
"I already found them." Iwaizumi looked to his boss, confused. "Or should a say, they found us." He held up the small paper bunny.
"That damn Rabbit... Did you see the face clearly? Get a name?" He was returned with a small nod. "Then we should report back to the others, Illusion has been a nuisance to get rid of."
They didn't say anything else as they left the cafe, all Oikawa could think about was the girl he'd met today and what connections she had to their enemy. What did she mean by 'meet again under a similar circumstance' and why did she give him her name if she was going to expose that she worked with Illusion? Wouldn't that make things harder for her?
Too many questions ran through his head, right now he just needed to tell his allies what he'd found out. Even if it wasn't much, it was probably the most they'd gotten on the group so far. The illusive Rabbit wouldn't last much longer.
