"Mr. L/n. It's me." A shorter girl knocked on the large door at the end of a dark hallway. Nothing was said back to her as the door slowly opened and she stepped into the office. "I have some important files here for you." She bowed and held the papers out for the man to take.
"Thank you. We'll be having a small gathering with our executives and Nohebi in the coming week, I'd like for you to be there." He spoke with a flat, monotone voice. "You are dismissed."
"If I may ask, what is the subject matter of this gathering?"
"That information is classified. You'll find out soon enough." He waved a hand, telling her to leave his office. She silently walked out of the room and got ready for her next heavily dreaded training session.
On the day of the meeting, she was given a dress to put on after being told that she had to wear formal attire. She complained in the beginning due to the fact that she wouldn't be able to move to her full capability, but her complaints were quickly shut down when her boss had ordered her directly.
She walked through the hallway along with the other executives, confidently entering the conference-type room and sitting down. The other party was already there, on the opposite side of the table. "Now, now. Calm down a little, we're only here to discuss a few friendly propositions." Her boss sat at the end, an intimidating and all too familiar aura being cast round him. "First of all, I would like to introduce my daughter. The next heir to the L/n family's business." He held a hand towards the girl, who stood and bowed to the rest of the room.
"It's nice to meet you. Thank you for coming today." She sat back down as they continued.
"Let's get to business, shall we?" The leader of Nohebi spoke. "We're looking to make a deal with you, but we would like to go over your proposal to merge our businesses."
"Of course. What questions do you have?"
"First off, I don't think I like the idea of such a fragile girl running things when we're gone." He gestured to the mans daughter.
"Which is exactly why we'll have someone marry into the L/n family. Someone much more capable of handling this kind of job."
"Would you consider someone from Nohebi?"
"I already have a few people in mind, but if that doesn't work out I'll consider it."
"Done." Kenma finished typing. "Was that all?"
"Yeah, just the name files and any pictures attached." She stood from her seat beside him. "I owe you one, Kenma. If you ever need something or someone taken care of, just ask."
"Sure." He also stood and started leading her through the halls, their destination being Kuroo's office. "Kenma. Rabbit." He knocked.
The door opened to reveal both Kuroo and Oikawa sitting. "Hey, Bunny~ We have a bit of a visitor coming in a few minutes." The rooster stated. "He said he had close connections to Inarizaki and that he knew you were here with us."
"Speaking of Inarizaki, what kind of deal did you make with them?" Oikawa questioned.
Their conversation was interrupted by a voice calling out. "Open the door, I don't want to touch the filthy handle." She felt like she'd heard it before.
Kuroo hesitantly got up and opened the door. "What do you want with our Rabbit?"
"Your Rabbit? She's not a pet anymore."
Y/n stood in shock, eyes glued to the piercing glare of the newly introduced figure. "Kiyoomi?"
"You look like Hell."
"Thanks, I just got back." She rolled her eyes, mumbling under her breath. "Asshole."
"I heard that."
"I know."
"So... How do you two know each other exactly?" Oikawa cut into their half-hearted bickering.
The girl sighed. "I guess you could say he's an old family friend that I can't seem to get away from."
He recoiled in disgust. "If anything, I'm the one who wants to get away from you. Not the other way around." He walked to the centre of the room and stood still, watching the other two men intently.
"Then what did you come here for?" Kuroo asked. "And what did you mean by she's not a pet anymore?"
"I came here to get Y/n, obviously. As for the remark, you can ask her that yourself."
"I thought you said no one knew your name, Rabbit? It seems like there's a lot more than you lead us on to believe." Kuroo teased.
"It's your fault anyone from Nohebi knows so shut it, rooster." She snapped back sharply. "Who sent you, Kiyoomi? I know it wasn't Inarizaki and you wouldn't come here of your own free will. Spill it."
"No one sent me. I heard you got roughed up by Nohebi and I wanted to see it for myself."
"Bullshit." She slowly walked up to Sakusa, pulling out a small blade and holding it close to his face. "Tell me why you actually came and maybe I'll let you walk out of here still breathing."
"I made a promise, didn't I?" He pushed her hand away that was holding the knife easily. "You might wanna take me up on that soon. There are a lot of people after you now, L/n."
Oikawa and Kuroo froze upon hearing the name."You mean... She's..."
"The L/n family died out. Anyone that made it out of the police raid was killed off by other gangs, weren't they?" Oikawa stood confused and a little bit panicked. They knew that getting too close to Y/n was dangerous, but her being a L/n definitely changed things. Drastically.
