A few days had passed since her run in with Oikawa and Y/n was glad she hadn't been tracked down yet. She wasn't planning on revealing herself as the Rabbit, but by the end of their conversation she could tell he was suspicious of her anyway. Telling him her name wasn't planned either, there were very few people that even knew what she looked like because she would wear a mask whenever she went out on jobs. And even fewer knew her actual name. She wasn't bothered too much by it though, he wouldn't be able to find much info from just that.
Her subordinates however, who had been listening the whole time through hidden taps, thought she was out of her mind for giving up that much information. Even though she was high ranking and extremely dangerous, some had dared to threaten her.
Illusion was still a new gang, meaning not everyone was close and traitors were quite common. She found that the easiest way to deal with traitors was to make an example of them, which garnered Illusion it's association with brutal and cruel killings.
Today, they would have yet another notorious method attached to their -soon to be short lived- name.
Kidnapping.
Neither the boss nor Y/n were the one who orchestrated this kidnapping though.
"Hey, Rabbit!" Someone from outside of her office called. "You're needed in the cells."
"Two minutes." She sighed as she wondered what the hell they'd done this time. Her coworkers weren't known for making the wisest decisions but she never could've expected what she saw when she reached the basement of the building.
"Now we have leverage against Seijoh." The man gestured toward a tied up Oikawa on the floor.
Her blood boiled. "Idiot! Who gave you orders to kidnap anyone?" She yelled at him, turning away to go back up the stairs. "Untie him and let him go, I'll forgive this for now."
"Forgive this?! I got us something we can use against those big names that are always coming after us!" He yelled back at her. Oikawa sat still, watching this unfold silently.
"Untie him. Now." She ordered once again, this time in a scarier tone. "And maybe I won't consider this insubordination."
"Like hell I will! You're not the boss, if you want to let him go, do it yourself!"
Neither of them were expecting Y/n to calmly walk up to the hostage, as was evident by the man slowly backing away from the two. "Alright, insubordination it is." She drew her gun and fired a bullet straight into the guys head, eyes not leaving Oikawa's.
"My apologies. This wasn't supposed to happen." She cut the ropes off of him and helped him up. "If you have any men on their way tell them to back off, thanks." She was much colder than the girl he'd met in the cafe just a few days ago.
"Sure thing, I'll let them know what happened..." He trailed off as she lead him to the exit.
"Let's make one thing absolutely clear, Oikawa. I don't want to be involved in a war, so don't start one." He nodded at her statement and left the building in shock. She could have killed him in there easily.
Only then did it hit him. She was their assassin, not just some random worker bee, and yet she let him go. Now this, he had to report to the others.
There was a knock at the large door. "Oikawa and Iwaizumi."
"Come in." The two entered the room accustomed with a large round table. Around the table sat the allied leaders and their second in commands. Karasuno's Daichi and Sugawara, Shiratorizawa's Ushijima and Tendou, Nekoma's Kuroo and Kenma, and lastly, Fukurodani with Bokuto and Akaashi.
"Heard you got kidnapped, Oikawa. How'd that work out for you?" The black haired cat chimed in.
"That's actually why we're here right now." He answered back. "It was Illusion. Their little assassin, to be exact."
The rest of them looked at him confused until Daichi broke the silence. "How're you still alive? They wouldn't have just let you go without getting anything from you."
"That's the thing, she just told me she didn't want a war and let me go."
"She? Do you mean the girl you were talking about last time?" Kenma surprisingly jumped in. "I couldn't bring up anything with her name or description. Even hacking into medical files got me nowhere."
"So she really is Rabbit. Why don't we just take her out since we know her location now?"
"Not yet, Bokuto. She's... interesting." They all looked to Oikawa, confused yet again. Sighing, he proceeded to explain himself. "She was really timid when I first saw her but she was completely different this time. She told her subordinate to let me go as soon as she saw me and when he refused she came and did it herself."
"Ok, what's so special about that? Her subordinate wouldn't do it so she did. Is that all?" The redhead Tendou groaned in boredom.
"She said if he let me go she'd let him off easy. When he didn't, she pulled a gun and made a perfect head shot still looking at me. It was scary but hot at the-" He was hit in the head by Iwaizumi before he could finish his sentence. "Ow, Iwa-chan! I'm just telling the truth!"
"Then she's trained." Ushijima pointed out.
"Kenma, try looking for any assassins with the name Y/n." Kuroo suggested as Kenma began typing.
They all sat, waiting for Kenma to come up with any leads. "Found a few. Photos attached too." Oikawa peaked over at the screen. One photo stood out to him in particular.
