Drifting in and out of consciousness, Y/n could barely make out the sound of people talking. "Woah, so she... How did..."
"She had... Other than that..."
"Hey! She's waking up..."
Her eyes were hit with a blinding light as she opened them, trying to see where she was and who was talking. She tried to sit up, only to be gently pushed back down. "Back off, Oikawa."
"You got shot and passed out! You need to take it easy for a while." He practically scolded her.
She looked around the room, seeing a few people. "Why are you all standing there? And where are we?"
"We're still here at Johzenji, we just took you to the medical ward." Terushima sat next to the bed she was laying on. "You know, you're a lot less scary when you're asleep." She reached to hit him, pulling back when she felt a sharp pain.
Sakusa was standing in the corner, watching her carefully. "Don't make any sudden movements, you'll start bleeding again."
"How much did you tell them, Kiyoomi...?"
He sighed and walked up to her. "Only what I thought was necessary. You have to explain everything else."
"What exactly did you deem necessary?" She stared at him coldly, glancing at Terushima as well. When they didn't answer, she looked to Oikawa. "How much did they tell you?"
"Not too much, actually. We all know that you're from the L/n family now, they just explained how they know you and how you haven't been caught yet."
She relaxed into the bed slightly, taking in the fact that there were more people that knew who she actually was. "Damn."
"Are you okay? You seem kinda down." Sugawara walked into the room, sitting down next to Terushima.
"That guy knew who I was, even though I made sure to get rid of any evidence of my existence. And he was almost as dumb as Oikawa-"
"Hey! I'm not that dumb!"
Y/n sighed. "I even got Kenma to wipe down some files for me. If that didn't help, I don't think anything can."
"Why do you want to stay hidden so badly? Who cares if people know your name." Oikawa was given a look by both Sakusa and Terushima.
"So you really are dumb." The former scoffed. "The L/n's were known for making enemies, if they know she's alive they'll come after her. Not only that, she has enemies of her own that pose a threat..."
"I've said it before and I'll say it again, I know of more painful torture methods than you could ever imagine. Cutting out your tongue would be letting you off easy." Y/n sat up again, this time not being pushed back. "Would you stop giving away information about me?"
"And like I've said, you need our help." Sakusa glared back at her. "We can't help you if we don't know what we're dealing with."
"What I'm dealing with. This has nothing to do with you."
"Sorry, I agree with them." Suga spoke up. "I know you can handle yourself, but you should trust in us. Even if it's just a precautionary measure."
She failed to hold back a groan, rubbing her eyes with the base of her palms in a stressed manner. "I can't tell you what's happening if I don't even know myself... Shit, I'm screwed." The room went quiet, no one knowing how to react to Y/n finally letting her guard down, even if it was just a little. "I should've just let Illusion kill me."
She let out a yelp as Terushima stood up and grabbed the collar of her shirt, looking genuinely angry for once. "Stop fucking around. You've made it this far, you're not dying now, idiot." He released his grip, slowly backing away after seeing how on edge everyone was. "Sorry-"
"Don't." Y/n stopped him, keeping her head lowered. "When can I leave? I have a few jobs to finish, I'm behind schedule."
"You aren't going anywhere yet, let me handle them."
"I trust you, Kiyoomi, but I keep my clients information confidential." She gently swung her legs over the side of the bed and got up. "I have a specific way of getting things done too. Plus, I need to let off some steam, so I'm leaving whether you like it or not." Oikawa shuddered at the thought of her 'letting off some steam' again, which didn't go unnoticed.
"Then let's make a deal. Whenever you're not in one of our bases, at least one of us will be with you to make sure nothing goes wrong." Suga held out a hand, not expecting her to accept right away. "We won't interfere with any of your business, we'll just be acting as temporary bodyguards."
"If you won't get in the way and it stops you from bothering me, fine." She squinted at him, taking his hand carefully.
Terushima split the two up, taking Y/n by the shoulders. "I'll gladly spend more time with Y/n-chan, but how exactly do we decide who'll be guarding her?"
"I'm going to be the one choosing who comes with me, end of story." She elbowed the blonde lightly, making him cough out a half-assed apology. "Speaking of which, are Suna and Atsumu still here?"
"Seriously? Why would you go with one of those foxes over us?" Oikawa drew out his sentence, only annoying her further.
"Because Inarizaki has been the least aggravating out of you so far."
"So mean, Y/n-chan~!"
She rolled her eyes, walking towards the exit. "Just so you know, I still wouldn't hesitate to murder you if you tried anything. Don't get any ideas." With that, she slammed the door shut behind her and went on a search for one of the foxes.
