She sighed in frustration. "Dammit, Kiyoomi. You just had to run your mouth, didn't you?"
"If you didn't want anyone knowing you were a L/n then you shouldn't have gotten this close to them." He replied coldly. "Like I was saying, a lot of people are after you now. And not just because of some old family grudges." He glared at the other two men in the room, who still looked baffled.
"Are you here to inform me of what I already know or are you here to help me? Because right now it seems like you're just giving me pointless information." She stepped closer to him and stopped right before his face, searching his expression to find even a hint to whether or not he was being genuine.
"If you come with me I can help you. Clearly, they can't." He referred to Kuroo and Oikawa, but his eyes never left hers. Leaning into her ear, he half-whispered. "I've got Inarizaki to back us up now too. I can make sure you're safe, at least until this passes over."
As he pulled back she also distanced herself. "And if I say no? I'm not some fragile little girl, Kiyoomi. I can take care of myself."
"You said the same thing when all of your executives were taken out and you had to be saved by those snakes, L/n. I don't think you can."
"Get out." She hissed. "I'm letting you go this time, so leave before I change my mind and stop being nice."
"We both know you wouldn't do anything to me." He calmly walked out of the room, not so much as saying another word.
"You're actually a L/n then." Kuroo sat down running a hand through his hair. "Why was he offering to help you? Sakusa... and Inarizaki for that matter, aren't exactly known for being the welcoming type."
"He made a promise a long time ago and I guess he plans to keep it. As for Inarizaki, I honestly don't know why they would help me." Y/n sat down across from him, Oikawa taking a seat to the side of them both.
"If you could elaborate on that promise it'd be pretty helpful, you know."
She rolled her eyes and continued. "He told me that if I was ever in trouble he would always be there to help me out of it. That's all really."
"Were you a thing or something?"
"Not quite. My father wanted me to marry someone who could take over the business since he didn't trust a 'little girl' like me. Kiyoomi just so happened to be one of the unlucky candidates that he chose and the only one that I actually got along with half decently." She paused, debating on if she should continue. "The training that I was put through was absolute hell, but he was always there to help, which is more or less where the promise thing came from."
"Anyone else you have connections to?" Kuroo prodded. "First we find out you have ties to Nohebi, then Sakusa and Inarizaki, and now we've been informed that you're a L/n. If you have anything else of value to say, say it now."
"Then you might wanna watch out for Johzenji too. We had a few arrangements made with them at the time."
"Why would they associate with all of these low level gangs when they could've joined us?" Oikawa questioned.
Y/n scoffed. "How am I supposed to know what was going through that maniac's head? Just because I'm his daughter doesn't mean I was let in on any of that." She stood again, making her own way towards the exit. "I'm leaving. If it's something important, call me."
The other two sat in silence as she disappeared.
There was a ringing coming from someone's pocket. Atsumu answered the phone, waiting for the callers reply. "Hey, what'd she say?"
"She threatened me and told me to leave. Does that answer all of your questions?" Sakusa sarcastically replied.
"At least ya can still talk. Can't say the same for the guys she offed at Nohebi." He laughed. "Why're we tryin' to protect her anyway, she can handle herself better than most of the assassins I've ever met."
"That's exactly why. They'll overestimate her and she'll end up getting herself killed."
"What do ya plan on doin' now? She obviously isn't gonna agree to anything we offer." Atsumu's voice trailed off and went quiet.
"Something going on?"
"We might have somethin' we can use. I'll send ya the details later." Sakusa hung up before he could say anything else, walking back to his office space.
He let out a groan as his phone buzzed again.
