The building cleared out and they could now clearly see a man standing with a gun, another man bleeding out below him. "Whether you live or die right now depends on your answer." Y/n slowly walked to the man while dodging Sugawara's attempt to stop her, crouching down to see that his target was already dead. "Was this for a job, or did you just kill him because he got on your nerves?" She stood, getting quite close to his face.
"Does it make a difference? Why would a mass murderer like you care anyway, Rabbit?" He didn't back away.
"Watch your tone with me~" Y/n reached behind her to grab one of her hidden knives. The guy noticed this and pointed the gun at her.
"Hey, hey. Let's all calm down now." Terushima stepped up to the two, eyeing the girls hand that was still gripping her blade's handle. "Rabbit. I'm sure we can look past it this time."
She let go and dropped her arm back to her side, yet the gun wasn't moved. "How about we make a deal, girly." She scowled at the name but kept calm. "Take off the mask and maybe I'll let you go. I don't think anyone here will try to pull anything as long as you're at risk, so don't think about weaseling your way out of this one."
"I don't get why you people are so obsessed with knowing what I look like." She sighed, pulling off her mask and throwing it to the side. "There. Happy?"
"I didn't believe them when they told me at first but... You really are a L/n, huh?"
Her face turned a deadly pale. "How do you know that name...?"
"You're not as clever as you think. The L/n family still has a lot of missing information, but it's a known fact that there was a daughter who was never caught." Pulling out her knife, she twirled it in her hand before looking to the others in the room. "There was only ever one picture leaked of her, but you share a striking resemblance."
"Permission?"
Most of them looked at her in confusion. Sakusa and Terushima however, knew exactly what she was asking. "Go ahead. Just don't make too much of a mess." The blonde stepped away from them cautiously, knowing from experience that he wouldn't want to be too close.
"You're giving away a lot of information here. Thanks, that makes my job easier." Another gunshot sounded as the man shot Y/n in the lower side of her torso, not letting her get any closer, the bullet just grazing.
"Hey-!" Oikawa was kept back by Sakusa, who mouthed a quick 'Wait.'
"Well, shit. You really are dumb." She painfully laughed. "Just because I'm a L/n, doesn't mean I play by the same rules. They would have killed you on the spot... I'll make sure you're begging for my forgiveness by the time I'm done with you."
"Tough talk for a girl with a hole through her body." He cocked the gun. "Wanna add a few more to the collection?"
"You should take your leave for now, Karasuno. I don't think your trainees want to see this part yet." She lunged at the man, sweeping the gun out of his hand and snaking herself around to get behind him. Where she would usually just hold the knife to his throat, she wasn't feeling as kind today and stabbed him in between his shoulder blades while wrapping her free arm around his neck to keep him in place. "You don't need your eyes to give me information. It would be fine if I removed them for you, right?" She twisted the blade out of his back and pointed it dangerously close to his pupil.
"Wait! I'll give you whatever you want, don't kill me!" He somewhat struggled against her grip, not wanting to accidentally stab himself.
Y/n brought the knife away from his face. "You should've thought about that before you shot and threatened me." The sharp object plunged its way into his eye socket, causing blood to spew out in front of them.
"You could've at least given us a warning or something." Sakusa turned away in disgust. "Some of us aren't as desensitized as you are."
"I gave you a warning when I told Karasuno to leave. It's not my fault you didn't listen to me." The man screamed in pain as she pulled the knife out. She took him by the hair, throwing him to his back on the ground and using her foot to cut off his airway. "Damn, you're annoying. Maybe I should just put you out of your misery."
"Y/n-chan~ I think you've done enough now." Oikawa butted in. "We can't question him if he's dead and I don't wanna see another guys brains getting bashed in today."
"Who said you could call her that?" Terushima crossed his arms. "And what does he mean by 'another'?"
"Would you shut up! I'm not taking orders from a dumbass and I sure as hell don't have to answer to an idiotic fuck-boy who doesn't know when to quit!" Everyone turned to Y/n, surprised by the sudden outburst. "You really picked the wrong day to mess with me."
"You can't kill me. I have information you nee-" He didn't get to finish his sentence when she picked up his gun and held it under his chin.
"Consider yourself lucky that I don't have to patience to crush your skull in." Blood splattered as she pulled the trigger, throwing the gun down and walking towards the exit.
"You got shot, you're not leaving like that." Suga grabbed her wrist, being pushed away a few seconds later.
"You need our help, Y/n. I'm not watching you die because of a bullet wound."
"It's an old promise, Kiyoomi... Drop it." Her walking slowed.
"It's not because of the dumb promise, idiot-" He froze as she came to a full stop, falling to the ground. "Y/n!"
I feel like my writing is getting worse and worse with each chapter.
