Chapter twenty-one

Brent

I can't stop thinking about Jordan. I really miss her. She really was my everything. She made me feel like I was on cloud nine. Why did it have to be New York why not like Utah or even Navada? It hasn't even been a whole day. I really miss her. I turn the TV off and walk into my room. I sigh and lay on my bed. Then a knock came on my door.

"Come in" I say.

Then Lexi walks in. "hey" she sits on my bed.

"hey" I sigh sitting up.

"You miss her huh?" She asks loooking down.

"Is it obvious?" I feel my eyes water.

"Don't cry Brent." Lexi smiles.

"You don't understand." I tell her.

"Brent I actually do, I miss her too. We can't morn over it though just think of the best, like you'll see her later this month when you go on tour." She smiles.

"That's actually a bad thing Lex, if I see her for a while then I will be sad again when I leave." I say.

"Brent, tresure the times you get with her, I'm going with mom shopping I will just talk to you later." And with that she leaves.

I take in what she just said and decide to text her.

To Jordan

Hey um just wanted to say hey. It is propably like five in the morning there. Sorry, hey tour in New York is in two weeks! can't wait to see you.

I sent the text and got in the shower.

Jordan

I can not sleep. This bed is not my bed, this pillow is not my pillow, this room is not my room, this house is not my house, this whole city, state, is not mine. I sigh and try to fall aasleep before my phone goes off. I chek it and its from Brent. I smile and open it.

From Brent

Hey um just wanted to say hey. It is propably like five in the morning there. Sorry, hey tour in New York is in two weeks! can't wait.

I smile an turn my phone off, yes I know I should text back but if he knows I'm up and can't sleep he will worry and I don't need him to worry about me. I try one more time to fall asleep and finally sleep comes to me.

....

"SISSY WAKEY WAKEY" Jacobs voice booms outside my door. I groan and go to the bathroom. I then go downtairs to mom eating cereal and dad making pancakes. He then slides a plate and I shake my head no. He furrows his eyebrows and looks at me weird.

"Something wrong?" He asks.

"Sorry but I don't like pancakes." I smile getting a apple off the counter.

Dad starts to laugh and I look at him weird. "Sorry, its just funny because you're mom doesn't like pancakes ither. She likes waffles." He says.

"Cool" I say. "Hey mom, where is Jayden and Jacob?"I ask.

"Jayden went to school, and Jacob is around here somewhere." She laughs.

I don't see how that is funny, she doesn't know where her own son is in her on house. I walk upstairs and try and find Jacob. I looked for a while before I looked in the bathroom, and therehe was playing with water and the water was everywhere.

"Whoa!! What are you doing buddy?" I ask turning the water.

"Swimming!" He smiles.

"Why don't you go to the pool?" I ask.

"Mommy told me not to tell you or you will cry and be mad" He runs out of the bathroom leaving me dumbfounded. I sigh and go to my room and unpack.

"Ready to go register?" My mom asks me.

"Sure." I say buckling my seatbelt.

"After, we can go pick up Jayden and go see a movie?" She asks.

"Um no I'm good, but you two can go." I say.

"You sure?" She asks.

I nod my head and we drive off. I am really missing Brent.
