Chapter Eight

Brent

I hurry and cleaned up what ever this was and ran out the door maybe I might be able to catch her. I run out the school and see her walking down the road. I sighed before I ran towards her. I caught up to her and put my hand on my shoulder her flinching.

''Jordan.'' I huff

''What?" She spat.

''Just talk to me.'' I say.

''Brent I don't want to.'' She said running a hand through her hair.

''I- Jordan I just want to talk, and get to know each other.'' I say.

''No Brent.'' She said walking away.

''Jordan please.'' I begged.

''Brent I said no.'' She said walking still.

I sat there by myself. Her walking away from me. I sigh and put my head down. I then hear a honk. I look up and there is Chris and Sam Pottorff.

''Brent wanna come hang with us?" Chris asked.

I shook my head no and started to walk. ''Come on Brent we are going to TacoBell.'' He said.

I still shook my head. ''Brent! You never put down TacoBell! What's wrong?" He asked.

''Jordan.'' I mumble.

''Jordan? Come on Brent, you know she isn't in to you, she turns down every guy.'' Nash says coming out of no where.

''I know!" I spat walking faster towards my house. I hear the car drive off. I sigh and look over and see Jordan walking in her house. I sigh once again and go home with the biggest frown on my face.

Jordan

I hate Brent! He can't! No he can't! I'm not letting him!

~Next Day......in Science class.~

I walk into science and of course I'm early.

''Jordan! I told you to lock up last night.'' Mr.Meezer scolded me.

I forgot to freaking lock up. Shoot. ''I'm sorry I was in a rush to leave I promise it won't happen again.'' I said sitting in my usual spot.

''I hope not. And today we have a new student in this class I want him to do the next project I'm introdusing today.'' Mr.Meezer tells me.

I sigh and just nod my head. Soon enough the bell rang and kids started piling in. When I see those brown eyes. What? He doesn't take science! Wait! He's the new kid. My eyes go wide as he sits next to me.

''Guys Brent is now in Science and I want you guys giving him no special treatment.'' Mr.Meezer says.

Brent smiles and looks at me. I scoff and turn my attention back to Mr.Meezer.

''So, we are gonna be working on a project today, well actually for the rest of this semester. It is worth more then half your grade so you guys need to work hard on it. You guys need to make a poster board with anything that has to do with science, electricity, weather, scientists, anything as long as it has to do with science. And you need to write a full four pages on how it changes, grows, shrinks, whatever. Its due in three months so I expect good quality.''

''Partners?" Brent asked.

''Ah, k I'm pairing, Jaxson and Clair, Violet and Blue, Zach and Morgan, Brent and Jordan.......''

Brent looked over at me and smirked.

''My house tonight at 5:00 no later and your not staying that long.'' I said.

''See ya at five.'' He said.

....

Five came faster then expected. I made sure Ethan and Jason stayed out later tonight. I cleaned for about two hours, I made dinner, I made chicken with rice, I made this drink called lava flow, its amazing.

I don't even know why I care so much. I made diner cause its five and I bet I'm keeping him from eating with his family. I set the food on the table on my desk and pulled up another chair. I then heard a knock downstairs. I hurry and ran downstairs and opened the door, there stood Brent.

''Come in.'' I said. ''I made dinner before we study.'' I said.

''Oh thanks.'' He said.

I nodded and walked him upstairs to my room. We walked in and I sat down at my desk and told him to sit.

About three hours later me and Brent found nothing out about what we where gonna do. Instead we talked. We actually talked. I can't believe it myself.

''Well, have a good Friday and I should get going.'' He smiled.

''Yeah yeah.'' I said standing up. I walked him downstairs and I opened the door for him.

''Thanks again, bye Jordan.'' and with that he walked down the stairs and started walking home. I sighed and shut the door.
