Chapter twenty-eight

Jordan

The next day at school I tell Jenn about 'Jessie'.

"Awe babe I'm sorry." She hugs me.

"Its okay." I sniff.

"Oh yeah I told Brent that after tour that I will come and help him sneak you so you don't have to come and sneak me." She laughs.

"Okay well my mom is here see ya on Monday." I smile then walk to my car. Mason picked me up today.I don't call him dad anymore. I mean would you after you found out that he chose to keep your sister over you? I sigh in the car.

"How wa-"

"Don't be like mom and pretend you care." I cut him off. After that it is silent. We pull up to the house and I get out in the house and into my room. I sit down and text Brent.

To. Brenttttt

Hey, I can't wait for Tuesday!!

I lock my phone and sigh. I really can't wait.

......

Monday

"Jenn! Tomorrow is the big day!" I smile at her at lunch.

"Dude I am so excited." She smiles. "Thanks for letting me come with like I know I was already gonna be on tour but when we get to Cali I can't wait to explore." She has a huge smile.

"You can stay with me and my adopted family for a while if you need to." I tell her.

"Thanks." She smiles and then the bell rings and we go to class.

Tuesday

I wake up with a smile. I am leaving this hell hole. Oops. No more stupid uniform, No more mom, no more brat of a sister. No more big huge house that I hate. None. No more. I then realize, I am not leaving today.I am tomorrow really early in the morning. I laugh then throw my clothes on. I put my hair in the neatest pony and some clear lip gloss. I smile and then I brush my teeth and go downtsairs. I tie my shoes tighter then I ever have then I grab an apple and it all before I leave.

Jayden leaves out the door and that is my que to leave. I grab my backpack and head out into the car. My mom smiles and I give a half smile. She frowns then drives off. We get to school and I run out. I go to my class and sit. Today I'm gonna act perfect. So I am getting to class early.

Soon the bell rings and the kids all come in.

Lunch

At lunch me and Jenn just talk about how much fun its going to be to tour for two months then going to California.

After school Mason picks me and Jayden up again. When we get home I pack all my bags and put them under my bed. I try as hard as I can to make it look normal. I then go outside with Jacob and Jayden in the front hard.

"Sissy." Jacob yells and runs towards me.

"Hey buddy." I smile and pick him up.

"We are playing catch." He smiles at me.

"can I play?" I ask.

"Yeah." Jayden smiles.

I put Jacob dwon and we all start throwing the softball at eachother and catching it. We all where laughing and having fun.

"Have you guys played Thunder?" I ask.

They shake there heads. "Do we have a tramp?" I ask. Jayden smiles and runs to the back yard. I pick up Jacob and we follow. Jayden is on the tramp doing flips. "Okay let's play thunder." I put Jacob on and Then I get on. "okay so you jump really really high like really high. Then once a person yells thunder you stop jumping and the last one to stop jumping wins. But you can not keep jumping on purpose you have to stop. Got it" They both smile and we all start to jump.

"THUNDER!" I yell and we all stop but Jayden comes down last. We all laugh and keep doing it.

"What do you guys want for dinner?" Mason comes out and asks us.

"Hamburgers!" We all yell.

"BBQ?" I ask.

"Sure." He smiles and gets the grill out and starts cooking.While he is cooking we all are just jumping on the tramp. "Foods done!" He says about half an hour later.

I run inside and get a blanket from my room. I then go out on my balcony and I look up. I could climb on the roof very easily. I climb up and lay the blanket on the flatest part. I get off the roof and run into the kitchen. They are all seated around the table.

"Wanna eat on the roof?" I smile.

"The roof?" Mona asks.

"Yeah bring the food and follow me." I grab the buns and ketchup and mustard. We walk in my room everyone holding something. I go to my balcony and then show them how to climb up. Mason held Jacob out and I grabbed him and set him down. Soon Mona, Mason, and Jayden where up here.

"I never have ever thought about this." Mona smiles.

"Its pretty huh? Me Jason and Ethan did this every Tuesday." I tell them. "Then usually we watch the sun set." I look at everyone and they are all sat down. I sit down and we start eating looking out. I can't wait until its normal doing it with Jason and Ethan again.

.....

"5.....4......3.....2.....1" And the sun goes down.

"Whoa" Jabob smiles. We all laugh and then clean up and get off the roof. "Goodnight Jordan get a godnight sleep."

I wanna reply with a sarcastic remark but tonight has been good and its my last day and I don't wanna ruin that.

"K Night." She smiles and exits my room along with everyone but Jayden she closes the door and runs to me.

"I'll miss you Jordan." she snifles.

"How'd you know I was leaving today?" I ask.

"You never wanna just hangout with us." she smiles and we sit on my bed.

"I'm sorry I am leaving." I hug her back.

" I understand I would wanna leave mom too." She sighs.

"What?" I pull away.

"Mom has slapped me many times." She half smiles.

"Jayden you don't smile about that! That's horrible." I hug her again. Then I sigh. I can't belive I am gonna ask her this. "Jayden, do you wanna leave with me?" I sigh.

"What?" She asks.

"Leave with me and Brent." I sigh.

"Can I?" Her face lights up.

"I guess, But Jayden I swear you can't be a brat. And we will be on tour for a while." I tell her.

"Okay okay I will not be a brat, tour sounds fun!" She smiles.

"K go pack a few things you have to have, and little clothes, we can buy more in Cali." I smile.

"Oh my gosh I love you so much Jordan." She hugs me.

"I love you too." I hug her back. We sit there for a while before I tell her to go and pack and I will get her before we leave. How will Brent react?

Hours later

Brent texted me he will be here in ten minutes.
