Drown in Poison

Your words used to drown me.
You used to be able to
control my emotions.
but not anymore
I am my own person and
I will defend myself against
any of your metaphorical weapons.
your bullets bounce off my skin.

I am my own person
and nobody cares about
what you think.
you are so caught up in the idea
that the whole world makes decisions
based on your reaction.
in reality, the human race
does not depend on wether
you cry, pout, or scream.

in the end,
you only have yourself to deal with.
you're going to be the one
to put up with the
venomous letters.
eventually, your poison
will end your own hostile words.
