A rush of serenity flooded over you as you walked through the door. You could hear the comforting sound of the piano coming from upstairs. You followed the sound all the way up the stairs and into Selena's music room.

You leaned against the door and watched your girlfriend play the piano. She was singing along to a new song she's been working hard on. She had her brown eyes closed and her lips parted as hums and lyrics softly fell from them.

"You sound perfect."

She jumped and placed her hand over her heart in surprise.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you. But I couldn't keep the words in anymore."

She smiled to herself, brushing a lock of her long hair behind her ear.

"I'm really proud of you. You're so hardworking and so talented."

"Thank you, my love." She grinned.

"You're lucky. I've always loved the piano. But I never got to learn because life got in the way and I've never had the time to just sit down and learn."

"Well, you do now." She said and held her arms open for you as you walked to her. "Want me to teach you?"

"Are you sure? You've got a lot to do. You don't have to."

"Don't be silly." She said and patted her lap, which you happily climbed onto. "It'll be nice to have a few minutes to just play for fun instead of for work."

She took your hands into her and placed them on the keys.

"Let's start with the melody of lose you to love me."

You nodded with a soft smile. That's one of your favorites by Selena, so you were very happy to start learning with that one.

And despite having been with Selena for nearly a year now, your heart still fluttered as she kept her fingers on yours. Her touch always brings you butterflies.

"Are you having fun?" She asked as she continued to teach you, occasionally stopping for a split second so she could kiss your shoulder.

"So much. It's so peaceful and calming and I've got the best teacher in the world."

You turned your head to look into those big brown eyes of hers. It made your heart melt.

She leaned in to give you a kiss on your lips before she continued to teach you.

A few minutes later, she was pulling her hands away from yours.

"Selena?"

"It's okay." She whispered. "You've got it. Try a little on your own. You can do it."

You took a deep breath before you started to play the intro to lose you to love me. You were quite surprised and pretty proud of yourself upon realizing that you knew enough to get you through most of it.

"See! You did so great."

"Because you're an amazing teacher, Sel. Thank you."

You turned around and she cupped your cheeks to give you another kiss.

"You're welcome. How about we do a little more later? I was thinking we could do camouflage later and for now, I could take you out to dinner. My treat."

"I'd love that." You smiled and gave her one more kiss before you both stood up and got ready to go out for a romantic dinner together.
