"Selena?" You mumbled as you shook your girlfriend's shoulder. "Selena, please wake up."

She groaned but slowly opened her eyes.

The room wasn't dark like she thought it would be. The sun still wasn't up, and one glance at the clock on the wall explained why, but the lamp on your nightstand was on and was lighting up the room.

"Y/N, it's four in the morning." She mumbled sleepily. "What's going on, baby?"

"I think I'm sick."

At that, her eyes flew open again and she was sitting up in bed against the pillows.

Staring at you, her eyebrows were furrowed in concern and her heart was racing a little with worry over just hearing those words fall from your lips.

"Sick?"

"Yeah. I'm hot one second and freezing the next and my stomach is killing me. Not to mention how nauseous I feel."

She put her hand on your forehead before nodding.

"Yeah, you're definitely coming down with something. You're burning up."

You whimpered and sank your teeth into your lip as your stomach started to ache and turn again.

You closed your eyes and tried to take a few deep breaths, hoping the sick feeling would fade.

But it was only getting more intense and not even the comforting brush of Selena's hand on your shoulder was enough to make you feel better.

Your mouth started to water and you covered it with your hand, knowing you only had a few seconds until you'd get sick.

But as you tried to get out of bed, your feet got tangled in the covers and you couldn't make it in time, causing you to get sick onto the floor.

Selena frowned and scooted closer to you. She rubbed your back, her hand moving across your damp skin in circles as you waited a moment to see if your stomach was going to settle.

Thankfully, it did.

While Selena was relieved to see that you only got sick once, you were left feeling more humiliated than you've ever been before.

"Baby?" She whispered as you sniffled.

"I'm so embarrassed. I'm so sorry, Sel."

"No, it's okay." She assured. "Don't be embarrassed, it happens."

"I tried to get up but my feet got stuck in the blankets."

"I know. It's okay, I promise." She soothed and kissed your warm shoulder. "All that I care about is you feeling better. Do you feel any better?"

"Yeah. But I'm hot." You groaned.

"How about we take a shower together?"

You turned to look at her with a sad smile and tired eyes and she started to stroke your cheek, trying to bring you some comfort that she knows you need because of how gross you feel.

"I don't know if I can stand for one."

"That's why I said we, my love." She smiled. "I know you're exhausted, so it'll be quick. But this way, you'll feel a little better."

"Okay." You agreed and closed your eyes as you leaned into her touch.

She got out of bed to clean up the floor before she washed her hands and grabbed some clean pajamas for both of you.

Once she put them in the bathroom, she started up the water and made sure it was the perfect temperature before she walked back to your side and helped you out of bed.

"Lean against me. I've got you." She said as she noticed how weak and sleepy you were, letting you lean completely against her before she started to walk into the bathroom with you.

She helped you undress before she took off her clothes and got under the water with you. She kept you in her arms and rubbed your back soothingly as the water poured down on your skin.

It was comforting and relaxing and Selena was happy to see that.

"Thank you for this." You mumbled and pressed a small kiss to her neck. "I know it's after four am and you're exhausted. So I appreciate this and you very much."

"Oh, no problem, baby." She smiled, kissing your head. "I'm happy to do anything that'll help you feel better, even if it's just a little bit better. I love you so much."

"Love you." You mumbled and spent the next few minutes in comfortable silence in Selena's arms under the water.

She only let go of you to wash your hair and body for you. Otherwise, she kept you safe and secure in her arms, making sure that you were able to lean on her the entire time.

When you both got too sleepy to stand under the water anymore, she knew it was time to step out of it.

"Are you ready to go back to bed now, baby?"

You nodded wordlessly and she turned off the water before getting out of the shower and helping you out after.

She helped you dry off before helping you get dressed and she watched a sparkle appear in your tired eyes as you realized the shirt she grabbed for you was your favorite one of hers.

"You're the most amazing girlfriend ever." You said and she smiled brightly at you.

"There's nothing I wouldn't do for you, darling." She said and kissed your forehead before she got dressed in her cozy pajamas and then helped you back into the bedroom.

She turned the bathroom light off behind you and tucked you in under the covers.

"I feel a lot better."

"I'm so happy to hear that." She said as she laid down beside you. "You might just have a little stomach bug or something. No need to worry, I'll be taking great care of you until you feel like your normal self again."

"I know you will, Sel. You're amazing." You said as you snuggled up to her.

"I love you, baby." She whispered in your ear, kissing your head once more. "Have sweet dreams and sleep tight. I'm right here if you need me and I won't be going anywhere until you're all better, I promise. I've got you."
