Kenzo still thinks her mother is pretty, even as she sits in a blinding room. The ticking of something acting like a white noise for her thoughts. Kenzo thinks of her mothers white hair that isn't as appealing anymore, of her electric blue eyes and the smell of flowers. Perhaps it was the pills that made her chest burn and her eyes water.

Kenzo's thoughts drift to Yoshio, her little brother, and can only pray he isn't quirkless. "What if I wasn't quirkless?" Nothing, not a twitch. A pout made its way onto Kenzo's lips. "I would probably be pretty mean wouldn't I? I almost don't want to think of what a Kenzo with a quirk would say to a quirkless person." Kenzo smiled, her head rolling back and forth as she thought of it.

"Though I guess I'm not as useless as I thought I was if they gave this room all to me." Who are you talking to?

Iida Tenya had only met his cousin once, or at least that was what everyone says. Truth be told, if it weren't for the pictures of him looking at his newly born cousin with wide eyes while sitting in his elder brother's lap at the age of 4 then Tenya wouldn't have thought they'd met at all. Now ten, Tenya hears his mother crying in the kitchen. He didn't know what to do when her mother looked at him with tear stricken eyes, not wanting to tell her that her nails were hurting him, only knowing that he wanted to help, after all that's what heroes do, and Tenya couldn't think of anything else that he wanted to be.

The Kurosawa scandal was one of the hottest things in the news at the moment. Kurosawa Kenzo had been missing for two months and nobody had known. According to an anonymous source that had been tipped to the police, Mr and Mrs Kurosawa had dropped their eldest child at a library and left her there for hours on end without adult supervision and hadn't seen their daughter sense. At the moment Kurosawa Yoshio, the Kurosawa's two month old son, will be put in the care of his aunt and his uncle, both well known retired heroes, as the authorities investigate the parents for child neglect and abuse.

Tenya liked his new little brother, he had been admittedly nervous, but he would ever admit that. He was a big brother, Tenya thought, looking at the small bundle with two yellow eyes that looked too big for his face. He was a big brother! Tenyas cheeks hurt.

"MmmHmHaMmm" Kenzo hummed while she walked in circles in her all while box, her arms spread outwards, balancing herself on an invisible platform. "DooDooDleeDaDa" It was a song only Kenzo knew, she just made it up after all. "I wonder if I'll be a music person? What was that thing called again?" Kenzo pursed her lips like she actually cared enough to think of an answer.  "Probably not." It's called a composer.

Kenzo has been to the 'lightning room' nine times now. Dr. Maroon had started walking Kenzo to the lightning room on her 5th time visiting. Kenzo had started noticing more changes the longer she stayed. Like how Dr. Maroon started leading Kenzo by putting her hand on the back of her head instead of her back, or how sometimes when Kenzo smiled Dr. Maroon would look at her with this intenseedy that Kenzo couldn't quite describe. Kenzo had also found changes in herself, she had started talking to herself more, smiling a lot more than she thought she would, seeing things in the corner of her eyes staying longer than they used to, spiders turning into cockroaches. Another was that Kenzo found her sleeping less no matter how tired she felt, and Kenzo had started to feel incredibly sick.

Kenzo threw up on her 10th visit. When she woke up she was in a different room, that or the same room with a lot of changes. The first one that Kenzo noted was that she now had a bed, one with warm sheets even with how thin they were, sadly no pillow though. The next was that the floor was no longer padded, now a cold gray, not that Kenzo was complaining.

Despite feeling light headed and ready to pass out at any moment, the first thing Kenzo did as soon as she was in her new room was make a pillow fort, or as much as Kenzo could make one without pillows. Kenzo had made pillow forts in the past with her mother, the feeling of being in a whole new underground world with bright colorful lights and soft touches. This one was much less impressive and much more bland. The most Kenzo could do was take the mattress from the metal bed frame, move things around so that the mattress could lean on the back of the bed frame and drape the blanket over the triangular entrance. By the time Kenzo was done she had already passed out on the now hard floor, not counting the few times that Kenzos vision had blanked out while making the fort, it was the first time in a while that Kenzo actively chose to sleep.
