Chapter 12: Zoldyck Support

ZENO'S POV:

"You seems that you like the child, father?" asked Silva. "Indeed, It is rare for people to pursue an old lover this far. It takes their time too much and the possibility of their feelings to be reciprocated is quite going under. Do you perceive the confidence and flame in her eyes? She believes that she'll get Illumi. No, I'm wrong. She knows and she's very sure that she'll get Illumi. Remember the situation, Silva? This is just like the time when Kikyo pursued you, and well? Now she has you. These kind of women are dangerously good for us, they are devoted to their lover, they are strong in their ways, and are perceptive and sharp-witted. Exactly fits the Zoldyck family."

"We'll know it father, if she really is what we need as an addition to this family."  A challenged look on my son's eyes made me chuckle. "You need to relax, son. I know that Illumi is just a second child but he is one of the best assassin in this family could offer. He will be fine, I assure you; whoever he ends up with, I'm sure that he'll handle it just fine. Also, your son needs a rest, when he was just a kid, I saw the fire in his eyes as he describe his first love ,Cheshire. He might hide or disprove of his feelings towards her for now because he wants to protect her; even so, first love never dies and it will be stronger if denied. He'll come around. During my years, I learned to analyze people and understand them as a habit and I know that they are hopelessly in love. You need to learn this so you'll analyze the feeling of your children."

With that, I left the room and followed Cheshire. I might be old but I fully support and happy with the two of them ending up. A "ship" as the younger generation entitle it. I'm planning to help her win without anyone knowing. 

Why am I supportive of them? Let's just say that I planned out their lovely reunion. I never forgot about Cheshire when Illumi talked to me about her. He said everything to me. Although, I encouraged Illumi to forget about her that time so he can focus on his job, I still feel blameworthy about it. I know how it feels to be away to your love for I experienced it in my time. That is why, I solemnly promise that I will fix it in the right time. 

I did my little profiling research about Cheshire. Well, it's quite easy since her brother is known to us as "Illumi's accomplice". That's when I learned that they attend the prestigious Hunter Exams yearly. Killua however, was having a tantrum about freedom so I suggested to him to try out the exams, It became our little secret. After all I don't like to see my grandson too grumpy. I also suggested that Illumi should be the one to follow after Killua since he is the most capable in this type of job and the fact that Killua is quite terrified of his brother. 

Since the probability of them passing the exam is high, I planned out their reunion talk at the trick tower. The game master of that tower is indebted to me so it makes everything easy. I made them recall their past and their love for each other. 

The only flaw of this plan is that... they could meet and see each other before the trick tower. That is why, I had them followed. As childish as it seems, I planned something ridiculous and wicked. I had someone sneak a poison in Cheshire's drink. It has no color, odor or too dangerous effect for someone like a nen master so it will be okay for her. She started to get dizzy when she planned to stay in the balcony to get air. If you are wondering how I got her in to my grandson's room, I just controlled her using the poison since it has my nen. Oh dear, It's so fun to mess with kids. Dear old Zoldyck needs to have fun and rekindle his childhood.

Above all, I never anticipated that she will come this far. I wanted them to at least meat each other again, maybe an acquaintance would be okay. Though, I am utterly amused that it resulted to marriage. Well, not yet, but I will make sure of it; after all, It's my SHIP. I will always support love; just not too much. As long as this emotions won't ruin the family, everything will turn out fine.
