Chapter 16 : Nen Glitch

KALLUTO'S POV:

             That Burgundy haired lady fills my head with curiosity. Her actions can be described at some point as kind, composed and intelligent. You might come across her in the streets and you will certainly believe that she's a good girl. But then, you get to know her and she slowly opens up to you showing what kind of monster she truly is.

            The day she came here, that's when I saw her. She was fighting all of the butlers and Mama is watching. I, however, was hiding behind the tree watching every thing unfold. At first she looks beautiful and enthralling; that is until she started to talk. Don't get me wrong, her voice holds the finest tune that I have heard. It's just that, it has this menacing and treacherous effect on it. Just by remembering it, makes me shiver. She's dangerous, I tell you that. She's the kind of person that us, The Zoldyck family, can't underestimate. I can't put my finger on it but she gives me this feeling of someone, someone that we all knew; the clown.

           I always hear about this "Nen". Jiji, Papa, Mama and Illumi nii-san knew what it is and they use it. I don't have much clue about it, all I know is that it is about power. Like I said, I am hiding behind a tree near where Mama is sitting. The burgundy haired girl, which was soon introduced to Gotoh and Mama  as Cheshire, killed the other butlers in a blink of an eye. She never moved on her standing point, yet she finished them without even moving her long, slender fingers. Is this what Nen can do? She must be one of those Nen Masters that they talk about. 

        I tried my best to hide myself in the tree, not making a single sound. Still, it is obvious that she knows that I am here right from the very start. After she froze all of the butlers, we had an eye contact. I must admit that that moment gave me fear; the eye contact lasted for a mere second, but I tell you that it feels like a few minutes.  She didn't made any remark, though. She just smirked at me, which made my skin crawl. 

I am sure that the other girls will have a hard time managing and defeating this woman.

           And now, All of the family members that are currently present in the manor are inside this aircraft flying towards our destination. I don't know where is the exact location is, all I know is that, we are heading somewhere to proceed to the "test" they are giving the girls. The girls are fed with sleeping poison and are sleeping in the back room of this aircraft.

          "Kalluto!! Would you kindly wake-up the girls in the backroom!, Mama ordered. We just arrived at our unknown destination. Mama, Papa, Jiji and Milluki got out of this vehicle to prepare what they are going to use for the test. I can't shake the fact that something feels wrong in here. It feels like we had a glitch or something. I asked Mama if she felt anything, but I just got yelled in return, they didn't felt it. I am now in front of the door.... I hope nothing is wrong or else Mama will have her tantrums again.

          What I saw was beyond expectation. I'm thinking all of the possibilities that could happen when I felt that slight glitch. I am expecting that someone was awake? Or someone was killed? Or someone disappeared? These were my thoughts before entering the ever so curious room. It is quite close to my second  guess; still, it is a baffling mystery as to what really unfold in these very room.

         The room bathe in red, familiar liquid; blood. The seven sleeping girls are now reduced to three. Why? The other four is obviously killed in this room by someone, preferably one of these three girls that are left. All of them are sleeping soundly; though, it is quite impossible to tell who killed the other four for the remaining three are all soaked in blood from head to toe. All of them are also drugged with the "sleeping poison". That poison is deadly effective, I've encountered it before. How could someone woke up from such poison intake?

       I ran outside and told everyone what happened. Mama rushed inside of our vehicle and started yelling, asking who could possibly do it; this yelling woke up the remaining three. Milluki just didn't cared enough to check what's happening since he stayed outside. Jiji and Papa are calm but obviously taking in the matters of what happened.

CHESHIRE'S POV:

         An overly familiar yell ringed in my ear as I blinked out my sleepiness. I am exasperated of the drama that I am positive that is about to happen. My bloody "art" came in to view when I fully came to my senses after my planned sleep. I acted shocked and confused about this; I even looked to the people around me confusingly. Zeno looked at me with piercing  eyes but I continued my confused act. Kikyo and Silva seemed to buy my act as they didn't even batted an eye at my direction, this is good. However, the kid, Kalluto is suspicious of me.

      

       That's when I remembered. My Nen ability that stops time has its conditions too. Adults, which has a weaker sense to perceive this kind of things couldn't notice the "glitch". While the children of certain age can because their senses are more sensitive. Amazing how Kalluto still noticed the glitch when she couldn't use nen. This kind of condition of my ability between adults and children is exactly the same with frequency of sounds. Children can hear higher frequencies than the adults.

      Soon enough, I can hear the loud sobs from a girl, it is the other assassin girl. She knew that her sisters were killed. Though, the Zoldyck heads couldn't care less about the "drama"; so, they announced that we should al come out and head outside to start the "exam". It's so cute how that girl tried to keep a straight face, it is clear that she is shattered. This is another minus point for her in this exam. Assassins must hide their emotions, they can't let emotions control them; and there she was, can't even stand straight from all the crying.

         Drama aside, I am utterly excited to see everyone's reaction when they see what I can do. I have confidence that they are still confused about the "murder"; although I know that some of them has a very strong suspicion that it is I all this time.
