Chapter 25: The Awaited event

HISOKA'S POV:

                     Well, to-day is the day. The most awaited event for my sister and friend. I must admit that it is quite strenuous for me that my twin is marrying already. As her brother and her only family, it really is baffling. I do hope that they enjoy each other till death part them, though. As a friend and a brother, I wish them all the happiness that they could ever have.

              There is only one thing that I am not sure of. It is about the Zoldyck family and Cheshire. Surely, there is no problem with Cheshire killing or assassinating, she enjoys them actually. The problem is the strict rules and the family hierarchy. Cheshire is a natural rule breaker and she loves her freedom so much. If she's going to follow all of these rules, then she won't have her ever so loved freedom and she will be like  a prisoner inside this massive gates. She also loves being in the upper position and the one to decide things. Illumi is not the heir of the family, it's impossible for her to be the head mistress. I am getting a feeling that she won't like her stay here very much. Well, we'll just have to see what unfolds in the near future.

            Illumi stood in the far end of the hall together with his father. Cheshire walked down the short aisle wearing a skin-tone color dress. Wow, I never knew that my sister would enjoy wearing one. She reached the end and Illumi took her hand, then, they faced Silva. No questions were asked. They just signed the papers and they sat on the chair that is prepared for them. Silva talked to Illumi and Kikyo talked to Cheshire. It is about the customs of the family and about love and some sort of stuff. No flowers, no music, no visitors and no further celebrations were occurred. They got married and that's it. This is the best wedding that I have ever seen though. Why? Because it happened so fast so it did not bore me. There is no weird ceremony and cheesy lines between the bride and the groom, Just a pep talk that is given to them. After that,  They announced the marriage and the family meeting adjourned.

"I wish you a happy marriage, twin.

ILLUMI'S POV:

"I wish you a happy marriage, twin."

                    I am grateful for Hisoka's words, after all, he's part of our connection and romance since childhood. Though, it seems that there is something behind those words. I better shake it off of my head, I must focus on Cheshire now.

             We were both led in the secluded wing of the manor. I heard that mother insisted that we should have our own privacy as newly weds. Well, I can't say that I, in any way, disagree. Only the head butler and a few family members were allowed to visit should anyone plan to interfere with us.

         "Why did you left before our marriage?" Cheshire asked chuckling as she finished changing. "I don't want to be married to someone I don't trust." I answered. "Ahh, that's right. For a moment there I forgot that you didn't know who you were supposed to marry. No one informed you." she said chuckling. "That's right."... "But why bring Zeno with you? Does that mean that you got to the testing gates and had a second thought?" she asked again. "Yes, that's right again. I presume you already thought of this but you just want clarity, yes?" I asked this time. "Right." she answered. 

          "Is there anything that you still want to ask?" I said clearly seeing that she still has something on her mind. "Am I that obvious? Well, there is something." she said fiddling with her wedding gown that she is trying to fold. "Fool, if there something that you want to ask or need, don't hesitate to say it. I'm your husband, remember that."... silence followed for a while until she decided to finally use her voice. 

            "I just wanted to ask if you somehow knew that I am the one to marry you, would you not decide to leave and rebel?" she asked as she looked right into the depths of my eye. "I won't leave." I answered. "Are you quite sure? Or are you only saying that because were married now and you want to empress me?" she asked slightly laughing again. "I don't need to impress anyone. The real reason as to why I had second thoughts is because of you. Like I said earlier, I don't want to marry anyone whom I don't trust. I left because whenever I think of marriage I can only think of myself with you. You're the only woman whom I truly trust Cheshire. It might sound cheesy but it is the truth." I said.

      She smiled at this and sat beside me. "My, my. It seems that your wound are opening again. Was the punishment that hard?" ... "Harder than the usual but tolerable than before." She nodded in response as she started taking my clothes off. "What are trying to do?" I asked in confusion. "What? I'm trying to fix your wounds. I can't just let you bleeding like this." She answered laughing, then she pecked me on the lips. Is this what it really feels when people talk about butterflies in their stomach? It really is wonderful then. I took off my clothes and she got the suture kit and she started stitching. "I didn't study medicine so don't expect anything. I'll just stitch you up the best I can." she said clearly focusing on her new found work.

Ahh, I cant resist it.

I placed my hand on her cheeks and I pulled her closer to mine.

I kissed her.

She's the best person I could ever ask for.
