Chapter 1-Survive the outside

CHESIRE'S POV/YOU

Phew, finally Hiso-kun and I are out of that place . I already told him that those people in the circus are not worth of our trust . But the thing is, where in the world are we going to stay? We don't have any other relatives to count on. We must survive this together no matter what, we have endured everything. I am pretty sure we can get through this. Well, we don't have any choice anyways. Strive to live? or Die without even trying? Of course it is the first choice.

"Cheshire-chan~"Hisoka called to me that cleared all of my thoughts." I found a small house in the middle of the forest~"." Who lives in it", I asked. "I don't know ..I just killed him, now let us go" he said. "okay aniki". I do hope that it is at the very least a decent and safe place.

Time skip:

              Its been a month now since we've settled here . Since we are in the middle of the forest ,we don't have to worry about our food. We simply hunt our food down or steal it from some stranger. We also found something fun in this place; we saw a cave filled with bandits. It seems that it is their hideout or something. I can say that they are fun playing trick with since they are pretty easy to fool and distract. Fighting is out of the question though, well, if you can even call it as 'fighting'. They're too easy to defeat and kill, where's the fun in that?

         Dawn came once again, I decided to play with the bandits. All seemed to be fine at first glance until I noticed the silence, It's usually loud in here with all of those drunk bandits. I got inside the dark halls and passageway of this dim-lit  cave. It seems that all of the bandits are dead. I checked the pulse of some; most are clearly dead and some still has a little bit of pulse. The person who did this are still here; I can sense this person's aura. There are still two people who are still alive and strong at this moment; I can feel their presence as I approach the leader's room. I got inside and confirmed my thoughts. There stood the leader of the bandits and a kid. A kid about my age. I hid in the corner of the door and concealed my presence; I'd surely love to watch the show. 

      The kid is obviously the one who killed the bandits, the leader wouldn't plan such a scheme towards his people. The kid is probably influenced by someone to do this. They were both fighting. It is clear that the kid is winning, most of his blows were received by the leader. Though, the tide seemed to turned when the kid got distracted and the leader took out something from his back-pocket. A gun. This type of weapon is still prohibited for the use of public and is reserved for the authority and other higher people. 

        You can clearly see that the boy was baffled. By the looks of it, he is terrified. Too bad, he's probably not that familiar with the weapon and it's antics. The leader slowly raised the gun to  the boys head. he is reaching for the trigger when he suddenly fell. Oops, my bad. I seemed to have slipped the cards of my brother out of my hand. Three of it sliced his head. How pathetic. The boy just stood there until I approached him, I was about to reach him by hand when he fell. 

ILLUMI'S POV :

       Relax Illumi, you an do it. You are hired to kill the leader , so you must kill him . I said to myself wishing for success . The leader pulled out his gun. This time, I really felt nervousness; I don't know how to fight that thing. I am still stuck at training of hand to hand combat....but my target is already using a modern weapon thingy. Absolutely no fair!

        The moment of my expected but unwanted death , someone killed the leader with a card . I'm quite relieved that  I survived, but at the same time terrified because my parents won't like the news of other person killed the target. I turned to my left and saw a girl. She is probably the one who killed the leader. But how is that possible? She killed him with a card. Was there a blade in the card then? What trickery was used this time? 

        She's approaching me. This time, I can prove my training and  kill this girl with ease. I tried moving my hand but I can't seem to move them. Was I too petrified? 

     Everything went absolute nothingness as the dark consumed my sight.

HISOKA'S POV

Okay so, Cheshire is still playing with my cards . I might just go around the forest to find something for us to eat . I remember Cheshire saying she wanted a roasted pig. Might as well find some so we can rest for the rest of the remaining time of the day.

Dawn came , I found the "soon to be delicious wild pig" that my twin is craving . I called her name as I neared our house , she did not answered. I searched the house still nothing. It is probably that she is still out playing in the cave, after all, a bit of fun is needed. Might as well have some fun too before going back home.

As I walked over to the cave, I saw the silhouette of my sister carrying something. I just waited for her to come closer, but no, she's not carrying something, it is someone. A boy. Hmm, who might this be? She got to where I am standing and explained to me what happened. This is a first time in a while that my sister is truly interested in something.  This boy must be fascinating.
