Chapter 2: We meet again

Harry Potter was quite literally right now in cloud nine

One moment he's seen his dunderhead of a cousin get trapped in the Zoo then the other he's being told he's a Wizard

And now he's walking around London with a friendly giant called Hagrid coming for his school supplies something he couldn't keep a curious look and smile at the same time emerald eyes scooting round

They enter a place called the leaky cauldron upon entering Harry notes that this is a pub but could see stairs leading somewhere

"Ah! Hagrid! Usual I presume?" Hagrid shakes his head

"No thanks tom im on Hogwarts business im helpin young Harry here buy school supplies" at the mention of himself the bartender named Tom looks at Harry in shock and awe

"Bless my soul it's Harry Potter..." Harry's eyes widen in shock as everyone in the room looks towards him in awe making him incredibly uncomfortable multiple people shake his hand some saying welcome back some saying they were glad to meet them at last overwhelming him slightly until a man with a purple turban walks over

"H-Harry P-Potter c-cant tell you how pleased I am to meet you" Harry looks at them weirdly

"Oh ello Professor didn't see you there Harry this is Professor Quirrell he'll be your defence against the dark arts teacher" Harry looks to Hagrid before back to Quirrell holding his hand out

"Pleased to meet you" Quirell backs away looking at Harrys hand

"F-fearfully fascinating subject...not that you need it eh Potter?" Hagrid looks around

"Yes well must be going now...lots to buy" saying a quick goodbye Harry follows with more questions that he wants desperately

And he made sure to get them

Time skip brought by Harry ogling the nimbus 2000

The two walk into Gringotts with Harry being slightly unnerved by the goblins until he sees Hagrid stop and looks at the person in front before having a wide smile on his face

"Is That you Raven?" The figure turns around allowing Harry to look at them
The figure was wearing a plague doctors mask hiding their face but Harry couldn't help but feel like he knows them from somewhere a pinch of nostalgia was hitting him for reasons he didn't know

The figure nods making the half-giant walk up and hug them confusing Harry a little

"How've you been? I aven't seen you since we let you drop off young Harry here" Harry now looks at the masked figure with a new expression one of intrigue

'They brought me to the Dursleys? Still...where have I seen them before?' The figure looks up to the Half-giant chuckling

"I've been well Hagrid I, unfortunately, was given a task by the minister so I've been away for some time although not away for this one" kneeling Raven looks at Harry

"We meet again Mr Potter" they bring their hand out which Harry takes making them nod

"you have manners good wait but one moment" looking around their coat they bring out a card and an envelope opening both one says

'Happy 11th birthday Harry!'

And the other is a bunch of gold coins making the boy look up with a shocked smile

"Thank you!" Raven nods patting the boys head

"No needs for thanks my boy it's only natural for godparents to spoil their godchild's" nodding slowly Harry then clicks to what they say

"You're my Godparent?" Raven nods and gets up

"I am although I haven't seen you much I think the last I did was your third birthday I must say it was enjoyable" Harry nods getting a brief flashback to the event in question but it was hazy

"Here for some money for your school supplies?" Looking to Hagrid who nods Raven looks back to Harry reaching into their pockets and bringing out a gold key

"Here is your Key keep it safe now" Harry just nods as they walk over to the goblin coughing to get its attention as it sees Raven it sits up rapidly making Harry peer at His newly discovered godparent with intrigue

"Mr Harry Potter has come to make a withdrawal" the Goblin just nods and takes the key but looks over to Raven who brings out an Envelope

"No need to say what this is just take me to it if you may" nodding the three and another goblin take a transport to Harry's vault but on the way, Raven stiffens

"Stop the track" doing as asked they see Raven look down making an annoyed sound

"Hagrid be a chap and get you know what would you?" Hagrid nods with a smile

"You be careful now Raven," The masked being says nothing and drops making Harry look over the transport with Wide eyes as he sees them disappear into the cavern

"Will they be alright?" The boy asks with genuine concern making Hagrid laugh loudly looking down as well as Harry looks up at him

"I'd be more concerned for what he jumped for but anyway Harry let's keep going!" Harry nods looking down again swearing he saw flashes down there...

Time skip brought by Harry being the protagonist ⚡

Going to exit the Bank they both see Raven walk up from descending stairs seemingly fine but the small tear on their coat that looks more like claw marks intrigue the young potter more

They watch them walk over to the Goblin from before whispering something before walking over to the duo

"Did you get all that you need?" Harry gives them his list of supplies letting them read through them before they look up at him

"All of these are easy to find and some are in the same store for example..." They then inform the young Potter of the stores he is to go to get his school supplies explicitly stating that Ollivander's is a must and sent them on their way while they went to get their coat repaired

Cursing internally Raven sends their thoughts to Harry as their coat was under quick repair

'He's all grown up...if only James and Lily could see him now...' Seeing their coats fixed Raven pays and leaves walking out just as Harry walked out of Ollivander's wand in hand and awed by his gift from Hagrid a snow-white owl

"Is that everything For you Harry?" Seeing them again Harry nods happily before showing his Godparent his new wand which they take a look at

"Huh interesting this is made from the same Phoenix feather as his..." They trail off having a small flashback to the wands twin while they were Harry frowned but decided to stay quiet as they headed back to the leaky cauldron for lunch

Harry was confused seeing as the masked Godparent of his was talking to the owner while they silently ate their meals

Putting his spoon down Harry peers up to the friendly half-giant

"He killed my parents, didn't he? The one who gave me this" pointing to his scar he watches Hagrid deflate a little before telling the boy about the past with Harry listening intently at every word

"If am bein Honest Harry if Raven weren't around the world would be his by now" Harry looks at Hagrid with wide eyes Hagrid hadn't told Harry technically anything about his godparent only that they were essentially a major figure in the wizarding world and we're very rarely seen seeing as they travel to other countries a lot

Whilst looking at his Godparent chatting Harry's curiosity skyrocketed and he was going to find out more about his Godparent he was determined to do so
