"Trolls huh? Well then he seems to have chosen an intriguing topic"
Many of the student's shrug at Raven's words but still hold intrigue at them wondering what they could possibly teach that would make Trolls interesting
"Don't think I don't notice what you're all thinking "professor how can trolls be an interesting subject?" Well ill be frank Trolls can be fascinating depending on the specific species of troll now does anyone know the many types?" Looking around their met with silence making them chuckle
"No? Well allow me to enlighten you all then Trolls come in different variations depending on where you currently are in the world some live in caves some live in forests but the most notably live in the mountains as they are the more likely to be seen now can anyone tell me which types of trolls live in Britain?" Looking for an Answer Raven sees a Hufflepuff raise their hand
"Mountain Trolls Professor although my father has stated that there are forest ones also" Raven nods in approval
"Excellent answer Mr?" The Hufflepuff responds
"Diggory Professor" Raven hums
"Your father works in the ministry am I correct? I'd like to know when he had encountered them but other than that 20 points to Hufflepuff" the class's eyes go wide at the amount awarded
"Continuing onwards yes there are mountain Trolls in Britain and before an interjection yes there were Forest Trolls they, however, were shipped to a magic reserve in Germany as they were being slaughtered for sport" walking over to the blackboard Raven starts writing and drawing
"Now Mountain Trolls themselves aren't particularly there when it comes to brains which is why they are widely roaming the mountains alone it is very rare to find multiple mountain trolls together" Raven stops what their doing on the board letting the students see a full diagram of three Mountain trolls
"Now there are three stages of development they undergo the first is the younger year's they're height is about an adults they themselves are easy to deal with" Raven points to the second diagram
"The second is essentially teens they grow larger and more hostile than in their younger year's and can be a bit of a handle for some Witches and Wizards it would be wise to not even go near them" Raven points to the third
"Now the third is fully grown and is a combination of the previous two they can be easy to deal with if not provoked but if you do their as aggressive they also reach the height of almost the hallways here and no matter what circumstances you should never think of taking one on alone they will surely kill you" letting there be a bit of silence Raven sees a student raise their hand
"Yes Miss?"
"Professor the way you worded that last part makes it sound as if only you can handle them is that the case?" Raven stares for a moment before loudly chuckling
"As expected of a Ravenclaw 20 points and yes and no many of the staff here can take on a fully grown Mountain troll together if need be and to the latter its part of my job to be able to alone is that sufficient?" The Ravenclaw nods and just as Raven goes to continue Quirrell enters the room and instantly starts stuttering apologies before realising Raven was there
"Ra- ven wha-what are y-you d-doing here?" The class look back at Raven who tilts their head at them
"Obviously im substituting your lesson Professor you had abruptly left after all for the Headmasters task had you not?" Quirrell notes their covering for them and gives a fake smile
