I frantically paced around in my room. My shades were placed on my nightstand. Right now Sebastian was the only person I could trust. Yet I saw how heartbroken he was after I yelled at him. The evidence on the usb would supposedly tell me everything but I wasn't sure if I was ready to see it. I decided to hide the usb in one of the drawers. Then I left a note with it. That was when the door opened and I saw a large octopus come in. Can't a girl have some privacy?

I turned my attention to the door, it was Octavio. "Callie! Thank goodness you're safe! I was so worried about you." he said with a mix of concern and relief. Sebastian stood behind him clad head to toe in his custom armor.

"Well I'm safe mostly thanks to Sebastian. He's the one you should be thanking." I replied.

"Excuse me milord. There is something I need to tell you... It's incredibly important... There's more to what happened... I did something dishonorable..." Sebastian rambled with some reluctance and nervousness.

"If you have something to say. You should speak up." Octavio made it sound like an order.

Sebastian swallowed his fear. "I have committed treason against you. I request to be allowed to commit Seppuku."

"Sebastian no." I whispered to myself. I couldn't believe what he was saying.

"What did you do?" Octavio asked, anger rising.

Sebastian chose his words carefully. "After the attack on the Princess during her concert. I took her outside the city. After we spent some time together I let her walk back to the palace alone. That was when she was grabbed. I have failed you." he explained.

"I don't see how that is treasonous. I'll make a note of your incompetence but you're still worth more to me alive." Octavio said about to turn his attention back to me. I sighed in relief. Unfortunately I celebrated a bit too soon.

"Wait! There's more! While we were outside the city... I mean the Princess and I..." Sebastian trailed off. He was having second thoughts about what he was going to say. I knew what was going to say next.

"Sebastian... please don't." I begged hoping I could talk him out of what he was about to reveal.

Octavio ignored me. "Well get on with it!" he ordered, giving Sebastian his undivided attention.

After a few moments Sebastian spoke once again. "I told the Princess you did not love her and saw her as nothing more than a tool. That everyone she has ever known in her life has been lying to her and that all her memories are fake. She got angry at me and broke up with me."

Octavio was clearly furious but he kept his voice calm. "How did Callie respond?"

"She didn't believe me. In fact she wasn't happy I lied to her. She decided to walk herself back to the palace. That was when she got grabbed." Sebastian answered with fear in his voice. He looked like he was about to run.

Octavio looked at me. "Is this true?"

"I-I... no... I-I mean yes... well-" I stammered. I didn't know how I should answer.

Octavio went back to Sebastian. "Why did you lie to her?"

Sebastian was probably sweating underneath that armor. "I... I was... paid to do so! I accepted a bribe from Marie! Yes that's what happened. That's my story and I'm sticking to it." he wasn't exactly convincing to me but Octavio seemed happy with the answer.

"Very well. You have my permission to die." Octavio replied calmly before walking out.

Sebastian was about to follow him out but I grabbed his arm and stopped him. Octavio either didn't notice or didn't care. He closed the door behind him and left us alone. "Sebastian! What were you thinking? Why did you tell him that?"
