"Why not?"

The brunette asked, concerned as to why the younger boy would be so afraid of his mother being asked. Sapphire eyes drifted towards the ground as the smaller boy pursed his lips.

"Because she will always be afraid if she knew..."

The smaller boy whispered, earning him a sigh from the brunette.

"Aichi you're not answering my questions properly"

"That's because I don't want to..."

"Fine... Can you at least tell me why she would be afraid of you?"

Kai asked, a slight smile portrayed its way upon the younger boy's lips as he shook his head.

"No, she wouldn't be afraid of me... She'd be afraid for her, me and Emi..."

The brunette raised a confused brow at the blue haired boy's words, not quite understanding his indirect way of speaking.

"Why?..."

Sapphire eyes looked up from the ground and gazed into jades as a sad small smile crossed over the younger boy's face.

"I can't tell Kai, if I did it would definitely make things more harder for me and you would also become involved"

Aichi whispered softly, causing a sharp pain to stab at the brunette's heart.

"What if I want to become involved?"

The blue haired boy looked at the brunette in shock, not believing what he had just heard the older teen say.

"Even if you want to, I don't want you to"

The blue haired boy replied softly, causing a small frown to appear upon the older teen's face.

"Why can't I?"

Kai pushed, hoping that the younger boy would tell him what had been causing the smaller boy his distress.

"It has nothing to do with you Kai"

Sapphire gave jades a fierce gaze of determination, making the brunette's resolve to find out even the more stronger than it was before.

"I don't care Aichi, I want to know"

The older teen's voice was firm as he emphasized what me meant. A small yet sad smile came across Aichi's face as the brunette spoke.

"To you it shouldn't matter, now if you'll excuse me Kai, I think I'll be taking my leave now. I have already answered a few questions as thanks for you helping me"

The brunette's hands balled into fists at the almost perfectly disguised pain that glimmered within the younger boy's eyes.

"Aichi...."

The brunette whispered as he caught the younger boy's arm gently as he went to go walk away. The boy slowly turned around and shot him a sweet yet slightly pained smile.

"Yes?"

Jades flickered towards the ground for a second before looking up to meet with sparkling sapphires.

"It's my business because I care about you"

Aichi allowed a genuine smile to overtake his false one.
