Chapter 19: Concern

Chapter 19 is here~ hehe I don't own cardfight vanguard at all so let le chappy start~

Panic seeped into the brunette as he what he'd the younger boy's quick breathing begin to slow down. Jades closed in fear as the brunette placed more pressure upon the smaller boy's injury.

"Aichi don't fall asleep...."

Kai whispered as he tried to shake said boy into consciousness, however failing at succeeding.

"Don't worry, the ambulance will be here soon"

The brunette opened his eyes to look at the policeman who was now crouching next to him. At Gin's words the sound of sirens filled the air, the loud noises never sounded so perfect to the brunette as a finalist white ambulance pulled it's way up to them.

The brunette swiftly moved away from the younger boy so that the medics could get to him quickly, knowing that even though he cared the most, he was most likely the least help in the situation.

"You want a ride?"

Jades gazed up hopefully towards the female medic that asked him before nodding.

"Yes"

"Then hip in quickly"

The brunette nodded and hopped into the back of the ambulance, fear swirling within him as he watched the medics attach the smaller boy to machines and placed a breathing mask on him.

"What's his name?"

The brunette was snapped out of his trance and narrowed his eyes.

"Aichi, Aichi Sendou..... I think age 15"

The medic nodded hesitantly before scribbling down information upon a sheet.

"Blood type?"

"I..... Don't know"

Kai replied softly, before turning his jade gaze towards the unconscious Aichi.

"I'm preforming a blood test to find out his blood test so that we can give him new blood"

The medic called as she took out a needle and pierced the blue haired boy's arm with it, drawing blood. The brunette's gaze shifted towards the male medic who was dealing with stopping Aichi's bleeding.

After a few minutes the brunette felt the vehicle come to a halt, he was quickly shooed out of the way as the medics carried the blue haired boy out of the ambulance and into the hospital.

Kai quickly followed after the boy but was stopped at a door and was told to stay in the waiting room.

"You can't go in there"

A male nurse said as he stood in front of a door that Aichi had been taken through, jades filled with anger.

"But it's my fault"

The brunette replied, keeping his voice calm so as to not reveal how panicked he actually was.

"I'm sorry to hear that, however your friend is undergoing an examination so as to make sure there's no internal damage"

The brunette's gaze flickered towards the floor before returning towards the nurse.

"Fine....."

The brunette said as he went and sat down in the waiting room, wondering if the young boy would be okay, hoping that he wouldn't die.

He knew that it was his own fault that the blue haired boy was in the hospital. Yes he wasn't the one who shot him, nor was he the one who harmed him, yet if he hadn't pursued the younger boy, he'd probably be at his house injured instead of in the hospital close to death.

"Um excuse me?"

The brunette looked up to see a nurse holding a clipboard.

"Yes?"

He asked, hoping that she hadn't arrived just to deliver news that he really didn't want to hear.

"Could you please tell me who the guardian for Sendou Aichi is?"

The brunette paused for a second, he knew that the young boy wouldn't want his mother or sister to come, for they would find out about Saito hurting him and being loose. Yet he also knew that the smaller boy wasn't old enough to be without a guardian.

"I'll tell when my friend wakes up, I made him a promise to him"

The brunette's reply was soft as he remembered how much Aichi went through just to protect his family from the knowledge of his father being out of jail.

"Sir...... We really need to have his guardian...."

The nurse's words made unease creep within the brunette, he didn't like the idea of why the blue haired boy's guardian was needed.

"......Why?"

The brunette asked, standing up from his chair.

"....... Sendou....... Needs surgery to get bullet shards out of his chest, he's unconscious and we're not aloud to do any procedures without permission from either him or his guardian...."

The brunette pursed his lip and closed his eyes for a second.

"Shizuka Sendou..... I don't know the phone number but there might be medical files to find out...."

The nurse nodded gratefully and ran off somewhere, the brunette on the other hand slumped down into his chair and placed his head in his hands. He had betrayed the younger boy's wishes and broken their promise, however he had to if the small boy was to receive the surgery and live.

Nether the less, the brunette couldn't help but feel guilt welling inside him once again, for betraying Aichi's trust and for helping in their plan that had worked yet at the same time failed.

The brunette didn't know how much time had passed before he heard the panicked voices of Aichi's mother and sister.

"Where's Aichi?!...."

The peach haired girl cried out, the brunette guessed that she hadn't expected her brother to end up in the hospital today.

"He's in surgery right now"

"What happened to my son?"

The cyan haired mother whispered softly, the brunette guessed that she had rushed over to the hospital as soon as she had given her 'okay' to the surgery.

"Go ask that boy over there, he was with your son when he came in"

The head nurse replied calmly as she pointed towards the brunette, when cyan eyes laid upon Kai they went wide in shock.

"Kai?!"

The brunette nodded grimly as the two girls hurried over towards him, he didn't like having to be the bearer of bad news for the two.

"Kai, what happened to Aichi?....."

Emi whispered, the brunette looked towards the ground, unsure as to how he would explain everything that happened to the two, despite the wishes of Aichi.

Me: Kai's got a lotta explaining to do~

Kai: shut it!

Me: hehe your fault~

Kai: .......

Me: awww don't be mad at me~

Kai: whatever....

Me: anyway over le weekend I had a inspiration~

Kai: for this story?

Me: no for le sequel of Blind Love~

Kai: !!!!!!!!!!
