"Ari, wake up." Draco gently shook her awake.
"Dray, what time is it?"
"11, I was going to head back to my dorm but I feel asleep, I hope you don't mind."
"No, that's okay."
"Would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me? I think we have some things to talk about."
"Um, I guess. Can you give me some time to get ready and I'll meet you in the common room."
"Of course, yeah, um. I'll see you in a bit." In all honesty, Draco didn't expect her to agree but this was a step forward. When he went to the common room, Blaise was already awake and expecting his arrival.
"How are you this morning?"
"I talked to Ariana, I don't think she'll be forgetting any time soon."
"She needs time probably."
"How do you know so much about girls?"
"Mum's had enough husbands to know about relationships. Speaking off there she is, see you later Draco." Ariana walked down, covered in layers of clothes due to it being close to Christmas.
"Let's go, I'm craving a butterbeer." She smiled as they walked out. Snape was looking on, hoping his niece could not only forgive him but also Draco.
Once Draco had got their drinks it was awkward silence between the pair. Neither knew who should speak first until Draco but the bullet.
"Ari, I just want to apologise again."
"You don't have to."
"I do! I am so so sorry and can assure you I will never hurt you again."
"Dray, I just don't understand why you would listen to my uncle. I know Sev is your godfather but-"
"He is so protective over you, I didn't want to go against him. Part of me knew it wouldn't be the best for you but the other part hoped he'd be right. I just want you to be okay."
"I was okay, when you were with me."
"Oh Ariana!" They heard Slughorn explain.
"Great." Draco muttered, rolling his eyes. "I'll go to the bathroom while you talk to him."
"Hello Professor."
"I hope I wasn't interrupting your time with Mr Malfoy."
"That's okay, is everything alright?"
"I was just going to invite you to a slug club dinner."
"Oh great!" Ariana had been told about them from Blaise and they seemed... interesting. She saw Draco anxiously coming out of the bathroom. "I will see you then Professor."
Ariana grabbed Draco's hand that was shaking. "What's wrong?"
"Why don't we head back? We could play some of your music." Ariana nodded unsurely as they rushed out.
