That Monday morning Clara Hudson did not want to go to school. She was exhausted after coming home late from the Smarty Pants show, her along with some other Glee club members participated in. She knew no one watched it other than Santana and Blaine because they were the only ones who congratulated her.

Sam had promised he would and he would call her after but there was no phone call. She couldn't hold it too much against him since she knew his family was struggling but some support would have been nice. Clara avoided her brother that morning and got a ride from Santana. She had expected some weird tension but Santana acted as if nothing happened so that what Clara did.

Nothing had actually happened so there was no reason to feel guilty. Clara then found Sam at his locker and put on a fake smile.

"Morning." Sam grinned and kissed her cheek. He was totally oblivious to what he forgot to do.

"Hey, so do anything interesting last night?" She asked hoping that would help.

"Nope, I babysat my siblings and Stacey forced me to play dolls. Apparently I can do a good Minnie Mouse impression." He chuckled but saw Clara didn't seem as into the conversation as she usually would be.

"Everything ok?"

"Yeah, totally just stayed up late."

"I thought you weren't doing that anymore?" Sam said knowing how Clara had a tendency of not sleeping due to stress or studying.

"It was for a school thing."

Sam just nodded and the two held hands as they walked into the choir room. Sam knew something was wrong because usually Clara would put her head on his shoulder or play with his hair but she didn't. She just sat there and pulled out a book. He felt as if he was getting the silent treatment and he had no idea what for.

"All right, we need $5,000 to pay for our trip to nationals in New York." Mr Shue said as he finished writing an equation on the board.
