Clarissa Hudson walked outside with the Glee girls and had her arm linked with Santana's. The girls knew Sam was determined to get Clara back. At this point they all had bets on when they would finally get together.

It was Phoebes first day at McKinley and all of the Glee girls had taken her under their wing. Phoebe honestly liked them all but she stayed close to Clara.

"Clara, what's the deal with you and Sam?" Tina asked

"Nothing, we are just friends."

"Friends my ass." Santana muttered earning a playful shove.

"You've been stealing glances in the choir room, and it is obvious Sam is still in love with you!"

"Ok, yes me and Sam have gotten closer lately. But we are working on building our trust back."

"And then?"

"Then...whatever happens...happens." Clara shrugged

"Do you still love him?" Rachel asked

"A part of me always will. I mean I really was in love with him."

"Do you really think you two can just be friends?"

"I don't know, maybe?"

Clara wanted to rebuild their relationship. Sam seemed determined to make things work and he made it clear he was in it for the long haul. Clara just wasn't sure if she was ready to go back into this relationship. They both had changed and what if Sam liked the idea of being back together more than it actually happening.

Clara missed Sam deeply and when he left felt like a piece of her heart was ripped out of her chest. Sam felt the exact same way as well. He felt as if he couldn't breathe. He had a pain that only Clara could cure. Being away from her and not answering her calls killed him inside. Clarissa understood why Sam did what he did but that didn't mean she liked it.
