Junior year was officially here and Clarissa Hudson was ready. Yes, she said this last year but this year she meant it. Clara had spent time grieving over her relationship but she was moving past it. Clara had changed over the summer but in a good way. At least everyone but Finn was happy about it. She had grown more confident and she actually had her Cheerio's uniform on. Sue had let her, Santana, and Brit come back and she was happy. It gave her something else to think about other than Sam.

She hadn't cried since the night she found out and Finn was worried. He knew his sister and knew she was emotional. Clara felt everything at once and she knew how to control emotions. But lately it just seemed Clara didn't care. She wasn't the same little ball of sunshine. The truth was Clara was tired of it. She was tired of being everyone's rock and tired of having to carry everyone's baggage. She was mentally exhausted and so decided to cut herself back. Clara still cared about people but just not like she used to.

"Morning, Finn" Clara said as she walked down the stairs. That was another thing that changed. Clara stopped calling her brother Finnocence. He was surprised because Clara had called him that for so long. He was actually sad about the change.

"Hey, made you a bagel."

"Thanks! I'll eat it on the way."

"I thought I was driving you?"

"No, Santana offered so I figured I would go with her so you and Rachel could be alone."

"You didn't have to."

"I know, I wanted to. I'll see you later." Clara smiled and was out the door. Although two seconds later she came back and gave Finn his schedule that he left on the bathroom counter once again.

Clara got in the passenger seat of Santana's car and gave each other a kiss. That was another thing that had changed. Both girls knew they weren't in a place for a relationship so they figured it could be strictly a physical thing. They were still best friends of course just with benefits.
