4. Sick

Klaus' POV
I often spend my days thinking of Elena and imagining that she was still with me. Even as my daughter feeling sick and tired I was imagining that Elena and I were walking down the streets of New Orleans.

I would grab her hand and pull her towards the street art and ask for her opinion and then she'd give me a half opinion because art isn't her thing but because she loves hearing me talk she'll pretend to be interested until—

"Dad?" I blinked out of my fantasy to see Hope standing all by herself. "Klaus it's done" Vincent looked at me with sad eyes and I nodded in great-fullness. "Dad I don't feel cold anymore" I smiled "no of course not littlest wolf. Nothing will ever come to harm my little girls" Hope smiled and then a whole bunch of birds started dropping like flies.

"What the hell is going on out here?" I froze. I knew that voice! I'd know that voice even if I was going deaf. That voice I would rise from the dead for. "Elena?" I looked up to see her standing there "Klaus?" I smiled at her and then she was in my arms.

"Elena is this... are you really— I stopped and then broke her neck. "Klaus what the hell" Hayley said angrily. I looked up at her "Hayley show the girls around the city. Show them their city" Hayley still looking pissed finally sighed "we're talking when I get back so you understand?" I nodded and she left with the girls and Freya.

"Vincent old friend! I need you to do a little spell for me. Can you do that" I phrased it as a question but he and I both knew it was not.

Hayley's POV
The girls ran ahead of me and Freya to go and look at the art. "I just don't get it Freya! He has dreams about the girl every night and then finally he gets her back and what does he do? He kills her" I scoffed and sat down on the water fountain facing the girls "Klaus is a bit unconventional but he comes through in the end" I looked at Freya in disbelief "okay".

"So what up with you and that Malraux werewolf?" Freya laughed "nothing her blood protects my family and she's helping me find a weapon to destroy Marcel" I squinted my eyes and pursed my lips "does Klaus know you're planning on murdering his son?" "The kids are almost out of our sight so let's go".

Stefan's POV
I opened the doors to The Salvatore School to see Lizzie waiting for me. "I should have known" "uncle Stefan as you know I'm gonna be five soon" I laughed picking her up "yes I know this" "so I was wondering if you were going to get me a pony" I sat her down on my desk "a pony Lizzie?" "Yup!" "How long have you been waiting for me?" "Since dad called and said you were 5 minutes away".

I sat down in my chair behind the desk and Lizzie turned so we were facing each other "how was your visit?" "Good, how was your week with your mom?" Lizzie looked sad "when do I ever get to meet your surrogate children?" "How do you know what surrogate means?" She smiled "I watch Private Practice" "no more tv for you missy and soon don't worry" I stood up and Lizzie stood on my desk waiting for me.

I grabbed her and put her on my shoulders "are you gonna help me open the school up?" "Well duh" I could almost feel her roll her eyes so I took her down and started tickling her until she begged for mercy and was screaming.

Klaus' POV
"Your girlfriend checks out Klaus. She's clean no dark magic in her" I sighed in relief "thank you Vincent" "Camille saw this light in you" I started getting sad "when you look at Elena or start think about her... I dunno man your face melts and I see that light Cami was talking about" I smiled "thank you Vincent" I looked at him in his eyes "seriously. I owe you" he chuckled "no. Just keep bringing out that light and we'll call it even. In honor of Camille".

He patted my shoulder before walking out. "I knew you cared for Camille but I didn't know you loved her" I looked towards that voice to see her stretching her neck "first off I'm very pissed that you— "did anyone every tell you that you talk a lot" she smiled that smile I missed so much "I'm going to kiss you now" then our lips touched and I felt... home.

We pulled away and leaned our foreheads together "Elena I— "it was me Klaus" I pulled away and she stood up tears forming in her eyes "I kidnapped those poor kids so I could be here" "Elena what?" Now she was full on crying "I... I'm a horrible selfish person! Now those kids are probably dead and I made that... that deal! Klaus what if I'm the reason Hope is sick!?" I moved her hair behind her ear "no".

"KLAUS!!" Elena and I jumped and saw Hayley holding Maya in her arms "Hayley what happened?" "She just collapsed!" Elena walked up to Hayley and touched Maya. "My poor baby" "What do we do now mommy?" Hope asked scared "we put you two on bed rest until further notice.

Edythe's POV
Alone. I've never been without my sisters before so it was a strange feeling to say the least. I held the necklace in my hand and I started to feel sleepy until I was knocked out.

"Edythe!" I opened my eyes slowly before sitting up "Aunt Breanne!" I quickly wrapped my arms around her "where am I?" She smiled "Peace as I like to say. I brought you here because your like me. Your the sweet one with the evil heart" I gulped "is that bad?" She moved me hair back "no it just means that we can't make mistakes and have to watch out anger" I nodded and she held me still.

"Edythe your the one she wants" "who?" "Inadu" "that's a really dumb name" she laughed and kissed my head "out of both your sisters your the strongest just like I was" I felt my eyes prick "so why did you have to leave me?" "I had to die but I'll be back soon. Watch out for the blue light but of course you already knew that right" I nodded "good girl. When the times comes you'll have to defeat her... the Hollow".

I sighed "when you wake up there will be a series of spells that you must practice" "okay I will" "Edythe!" "Yea?" "You're the chosen one just like I was" "I'm scared" "I love you"I smiled and hugged her. I opened my eyes to my new room in the concrete mansion.

A/N: I don't want the book to be exactly like the show so a little changes here and there. Also I hate that Julie acts as if Stefan wasn't in the girls Life so I gave some cute Lizzie and Stefan scenes and there'll be more. Hope you're enjoying!
