Their wedding was a beautiful affair. They'd been married on the ranch they owned at the base of a luscious mountain. Their home was a stunning wooden cabin, a shadow of how it looked when they'd first come across it while out riding one day, many years ago. The ranch had been left to become a derelict mess after the elderly couple that owned it had died and the family didn't have the time to do anything with it. They bought it for practically nothing and built it up to the beautiful home it is today.

Taehyung and Jungkook were both raised on ranches, both wanted to own their own one day and both shared the same vision. In the area they lived, schooling wasn't an everyday affair with the small school gearing them towards taking on their family ranches one day so one day a week was spent learning the ropes at home. It was while at school that their eyes met across the playground one lunchtime and it was an unfortunate accident that started their first conversation. While being shown how to muck out a stable, one of their peers had spun around and smacked Jungkook in the head with a shovel in his hands, knocking him out. While he lay in the hay regaining consciousness, he'd opened his eyes to see the face of someone he thought was an angel but it turned out to be Taehyung. There were lots of faces crowded around him as he came around but it was Taehyung's concerned face that had been his focus which he believed was fate.

After that day, they were inseparable. Taehyung visited Jungkook at home every day while he recovered from his bump to the head, their parents supportive of the love that was blooming before their eyes. It was a wholesome time, Tae would ride over and sit on the chair in Jungkook's bedroom, reading him classic novels and filling him in on events from school. They both understood their attraction to each other but neither acted on it until the end of year barn dance when someone asked Tae to dance and Jungkook made his claim clear. They had their first kiss at that dance, both aged 16 and their relationship found new depths from that moment and that was that.

Fourteen years on, they have the perfect home and the life that they have built together is stronger than ever.

"Should we have our time away before or after we have the reunion?" Tae asks his husband as he wipes his brow with his forearm.

Jungkook looks up, shovel in hand, he still feels the same butterflies that he felt all those years ago, every time he looks at his husband, which is a lot.. "Can't we just have our time away?"

Tae gives his husband a 'look', "Don't you think it will be nice to see everyone? We've not seen them in the year since the wedding."

Jungkook pushes his lips out and sort of scowls too, "I'll have to share you all day and Yoongi is going to bring his new boyfriend and they made me puke at the wedding."

Tae laughs, "Jimin isn't his new boyfriend anymore, they've been together nearly eighteen months."

"They act like they're new...I've never seen Yoongi so giggly and gross."

Tae has to put his shovel down and walk over to where Jungkook is digging. The paddock expansion is coming along nicely but it's a lot of work digging the ground in preparation for the wooden fence. They are always doing something to improve their home, it came with acres of land and various outbuildings.

"Everyone complained that Yoongi was miserable and grumpy and now you complain because he's not. Jimin is good for him and the vineyard is really doing well too."

Jungkook smiles when Tae is close, holding out an arm to pull him close, "Do you think Yoon will bring a bottle of that new wine with him?"

"He said he would. He's bringing that limited edition gin too." he reaches up and wets his finger then proceeds to clean some dirt from his husband's face.
