Your POV:

I quickly walked away from Jimin.

How can he ask me that?

I felt my heart racing at his question but I still ignored it. I walked into the garden behind the guest house and saw Tae talking to his friends. They were many people at the party. Some old businessmen with their heirs, some self-built businessmen, some of his friends whom I recognized as my classmates.

"Tae" I held his hand standing beside him. As he turned towards me, I quickly pulled him into a hug.

"Happy Birthday," I said in his ears. I could sense him smiling widely.

"Thank you," he said rubbing my back.

We released the hug and looked at each other.

"Oh, look who is here" someone exclaimed.

I turned and saw his familiar face. Wait...is he Beomgyu?

"Beomgyu?" I looked at him questioning.

"Woah, I thought you wouldn't remember me?" He said laughing.

"How could I forget? You used to bully Tae" I rolled my eyes.

"That's all in the past y/n. Even I remember you punching the shit out of him. Anyways, we became friends after you left the school" Tae patted my shoulder.

"How can you forgive him so easily? I would've killed him by now if I didn't leave the school back then" I smirked.

Beomgyu facial expressions changed.

"That's a very long story. Tae was there for me when I lost my girlfriend" Beomgyu supported Tae.

"Whatever" I averted my gaze to the decorations and stage.

I walked past them and made a tour around the guest house.

Soon, some businessmen recognized me and came near me to talk. I got involved in making a good impression among them. They knew about my company and my mother but for me, it was too early to make connections until last year. Last year, I won the prestigious 'Entrepreneur of the year' award and that award bought me a lot of offers including the project from Kim corporations which I'm working on at present.

After some minimal talks with some people, I grew tired and sat at the nearest table.

"Got tired already?" Ji Ah sat beside me.

I nodded as she gulped the juice in the glass.

"I thought you would capture any new project" she mocked me.

"You do that part and let me enjoy the food here" I replied as I kept searching for the food section.

"Don't rush. The dinner will start after that Mr.Handsome's cake cutting" she said looking at Tae.

"Mr.Handsome? Nice name" I smiled.

"Why? Isn't he? Look at him in that tuxedo. He is never less to a Persian prince" she looked at him with her dreamy eyes.

I huffed as I grabbed her glass to drink the remaining juice.

"And I was the one who selected his attire," I said proudly.

She looked at me and rolled her eyes back to Tae.

"Since I met Tae for the first time to discuss our project, I never stopped drooling over him" she leaned on her hands.
