Part 26

Jimin POV:

After hearing from Jungkook, I got panicked. I drove to the Han river bridge as Jungkook said. Throughout the ride, I was getting tensed.

Is she alright? She didn't get into any problem, right?

Though we didn't see each other after I got discharged from the hospital, I kept an eye on her through ajhumma. Ajhumma said y/n is acting quite good and free these days. That made me kinda relieved.

I reached the bridge and got out of my car. I ran through the footpath and finally, I found her.

She looked back to me sensing my hand on her shoulder.

"What happened, love?" I asked her.

Calling her love after all the chaos felt weird but I didn't care.

"Nothing" she turned back to the sea.

Her face was pale and I could sense her holding back her tears. Why is that so? I sighed and leaned onto the railing.

"Since when did you start holding back your tears?" I looked at her.

She didn't respond. Her hands were shaking due to the cold weather.

"Let's go home. It's freezing here" I held her hand.

She followed me like a lost puppy and we reached our cars. We got into her car as I asked my secretary to bring my car home. The drive was calm. She didn't talk nor sniff. She didn't open up yet. What is she thinking about? What happened between her and Jungkook?

I did sense a change in Jungkook's voice through the call but he didn't give me a chance to ask. Something is off.

We reached our flats and she turned to go into her flat but I stood in front of her.

"Don't.. just follow me" I said and she did.

I took her to my flat and made her sit on the couch. She kept looking around as it's her first time coming here. I brought her a glass of water and asked her to drink which she did. I sat beside her and held her hand.

"Please talk about it" I pleaded with her.

I don't want her to hold back anything and get affected by that later. That's what she's been doing for years and from now on I'll never let it happen anymore.

"I left Jungkook" she mumbled.

Left? What does that mean?

I didn't ask her anything further. After some time she herself opened up and said me everything.

"I can't let him suffer from this unrequited love Jim, so I asked him to leave" tears started rolling down her eyes.

"Love, you should be happy since he accepted that. But why are you crying?" I asked her.

"I'm happy for him Jim, but I'm sad that I lost a best friend of mine" her cries were becoming louder.

I brought her head to my chest. She wrapped her arms around me and hugged me.

"A part of me wanted him to leave everything and start fresh but another part of mine don't want to lose his friendship and held onto him"

"What should I do Jim? I don't want to hurt him anymore and hence I did all this. Is my decision right?" She asked looking at me.

"Of course it's the best decision, love. You're doing this for him. It is good" I patted her head.
