You looked at the screen not knowing what's your next message will be.

I am.

He was familiar with blood and you were too. You still remember the day you responded on the wall of the bathroom. It was the day when one of your nightmares became true.

The beeping sounds of the machines echoed the room.

It was the day of important surgery.

Here you were in the OR, the doctors have wheeled in a new patient.

"The brain is swelling and I can't find the
bleeder" you hear the neurosurgeon Jake say, "I need more suction." Your chest starts to pound.

Jake looks for the bleeder everywhere in the brain where he can reach. feel your heart pound out of your chest. She can't die. The patient, after a few moments, you hear him say, "I found it."

You take a breath out and your muscles relax, carefully making sure the clamp is still in place.

They found it. She will be alright.

The beeping sound echoed the room again, making your heart pound thousand times but you can't show it. You watch as everyone stops working. You realize it is too late. The patient is already gone.

"Time of death, 17:45," the neurosurgeon Jake annouced.

The patient was 45 years old woman.

You stand in shock as the scrub nurses cover her face. Your hands release the grasp from the clamps and lift your hands away from the woman.

This poor woman died.

You watch as Jake and the other surgeons around the boy take off their gloves and walk out of the OR. You follow Jake out of the OR and into the hallway. Your eyes scan the hallway until finding him, leaning against the wall.

You make your way over to him.

Without having him open his eyes, you lean next to him. Your eyes watch the rain pour down onto the side of the hospital.

"I am going to tell the family the news" Jake opens his mouth to speak, but you beat him to it, "It's ok, I got this."

You walk away as you hear, "Good, now that she's gone, I was-" Before you could hear any more, you were out of earshot and looking for the family.
