Days passed and turned into weeks. Weeks into months and soon the year was coming to an end. Jay and Tatiana had gotten the time to know more about each other.
Jay had gotten used to being close to her and her life was filled with him and she was loving every second of it.
Jay was conscious before she opened her
eyes and squinted them when the lights blinded her. She was sprawled on one side of Jay.Somehow, her legs found they were more
comfortable across Jay's which wasn't a
Surprise. She looked up at him and even in
his sleep, he looked powerful and ruthless. She reached up and traced every single bit of his face with the tip of her finger, especially that jaw of his and when she neared his lip.Jay caught her wrist and she froze the second his eyes opened and met hers, she felt her heart leap.
"Morning sunshine." He smiled after a moment. She felt her cheeks go hot and his grip tightened on her wrist. Somehow, she didn't find that painful, just hotter but she wanted to explore.
She looked at her wrist where his grip was and back at him. He understood and let her hand go. She went back to exploring his face and when she neared his lip, she glanced at him to find him still watching her and she proceeded.
"Can I ask you something?" Tat mumbled using the tip of her finger grazed over his lip and as much as he wanted to bite her finger, he held back and let her do to him what she wanted, "sure, ask?" She went down his lips to his day-stubble and smiled at the feel of it beneath her finger like the tip of a comb.
"You haven't talked about your family once?" She asked making him stop what he was doing, he was taking aback by her question. Truth to be told, it wasn't like he didn't want to talk about his family but it was because it never happened to bring it to any talk they had.
"I don't have any family Tatiana, that's why I don't talk about them," he answered her looking down at her.
"I'm sorry to hear that, I said because you never visited them,"
"That's because I don't know them Tat," His voice goes thick as he speaks, and as she notices the wetness of his eyes she find herself puling his head into her chest. "I was left at the orphanage when I was six," He sniffles into her skin but otherwise remains silent as he accepts her comfort.
"It's okay. We don't need to talk about it." I
murmur, pressing soft kisses into his hair like
he frequently does to her when she is worked up."I love you. You know that, right?" He probes eager for her to know his feelings.
He was scared to say it for a while, knowing that felt this way but anxious to put himself out there.
She looks away as he says this, unable to hold eyebcontact with him as she tries to console him. This wasn't excepted.
This should be the other way around. He should be the one consoling her, assuring her that the love he feels for her is true.
Reaching out, she wipes away the wetness
on his cheeks. His jaw clenches as she does this, feeling undeserving of any kindness. This woman is too good for him, too good for anybody."Its okay."
His eyes rested firmly on her lips, parted with her breathing and he was seized with a fierce longing.
He reached up and gripped her chin delicately between his fingers and she inhaled sharply.
He leaned forward, unable to resist her
sweetness, yearning to claim her lips with his own. Her eyes grew wide and he felt her tremble against him. He knew the moment he had kissed her at the river that one taste would not quench his insatiable hunger. His mouth captured hers, and she gasped, opening to him and allowing his tongue to sweetnpassionately inside. She arched against him and he felt a thrilling sensation as she accepted hisbkiss with an inquisitive shyness.
He kissed her tenderly, sharing kisses and comfort were something usual between them both. But they never over-closed the distance, he loves her but she was still unsure if she was, at the same time Jay was also glad that she didn't told him she loved him.
He didn't want to hear it if he was unsure that he will live this life with her, he was sure that the moment he will hear it from her mouth. He will want to fight everything and live as long as he was with her. But to his misfortune, his health doesn't want that, it was the opposite of what his mind and heart wants.
"Dr. Han had called me," Jay mumbled, he should tell her soon before Dr. Han will tell her himself. "He made me choose a date for the surgery. It had to be done soon as it possible" he confessed.
Her fingers curled around the locket dangling from around her neck.
How could he have been so selfish? Why she didn't think of him? How could she forget his health?
Her heart suddenly ached for him. He was as much alone as she was in the world. Was his grief as deep? And still he was taking care of her like he wasn't even in need to be taken care of.
She really admired him.
Yes; admiration. She affirmed silently.
She admired him because despite his overbearing dominance, he had yet to lift a hand to her and take care of her.
"It's going to be okay, I'm going to be with you, in every step you make. Did he told you that you should do check up before the surgery?" She asked.
"Yes, it's programmed the day after tomorrow," Jay nodded his head conforming. "I will be going with you"
"As long as you want Tat,"
