Tatiana watched Jay's back from far, in the darkness of the night as she watched how his hair flew due to the rough wind hitting him.
As she approached him, she struggled in her walk on one of the rocks there, making Jay turns his way to her. She cursed under her breath, eying down her maybe injured feet.
"Heyy," Jay said when Tatiana made her way in front of him while she responded with the same.
Silence followed the introduction.
They just stood in front of each, looking at each other while the wind made the silence speaks and the waves did the same.
She could stand in this place the whole day, it was peaceful. The kind of piece that she'd want for her heart.
"I wanted to apologize" This time it wasn't the wind who spoke not even Tatiana, it was Jay.
"Stop, I should be the one apologizing here," Tatiana said interrupting.
Truth be told, she wanted to apologize, but she didn't accept that Jay was the one who will do it. He didn't do anything to feel sorry for.
"Then it will be the two of us," Jay concluded, "I'm sorry for yelling at you the last time we met, you were on the hospital bed and I didn't consider it but I thought that you tried to end your life again, I'm sorry,"
"No, you were right," Tatiana whispered, every word she said was harder to get it out than the last one. "There are many people out there who are trying to save their lives while I'm trying to end it," she stopped to take a breath before she continues," but I don't have many reasons to live anymore,"
What she didn't expect, is that a chuckle will be leaving his mouth as a response.
"It's crazy how life can take lives herself while people trying to end it themselves" He voiced.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm sick," Jay breathed out.
"With?"
"I suffer from cancer, the doctor says that it's through my body vessels,"
"Did you take the Complete blood count test?" Tatiana asked while he answered, "I did, it appeared that it's leukemia,"
"Who knows about it?" Tatiana asked she was still calm from the outside but her thoughts from inside are heavy. And she was here asking him like a regular patient.
"You know, it's just me and the guys and the doctor. No other."
Tatiana then remembered Niki, he was going to tell her about him, but he never did because Jay happen to open the door that time and interpreted them both.
Tatiana knew cancer isn't something to joke with, she couldn't stand the idea. Shock covered her face and heart. She could feel her hands starting to shake.
If a patient told her the information she will probably just deal with it as normal as she could manage. But now everything is turned upside down. And to her misfortune, she knows that blood cancer doesn't give that much to time live. "How much?" She couldn't help to ask.
"What?"
"How many years the doctor said you have left," she breathed
"It was five years, but you don't think that I believe in it right?"
"Right, you shouldn't. I know a doctor from my university, we studied together and he is one of the best doctors in the country. I will have to call him and take an appointment with him, it will take me just one day or two-" Tatiana started to bubble out, she was trying to solve the problem, he can't die. At least not now when she knew him. She might stop it, and she'd anything to do so.
"Can I kiss you?" Jay voiced when he was the panicked expression on her face. It was amusing.
While he was the one who was dying.
"Wha-?" Before she could utter another word, he stepped towards her.
Looking into his eyes she saw deep pools of black that displayed his soul. His lips touched her cheek. Time stopped. Her heart came to a halt. Her breath caught in her throat.
She didn't know how their fingers locked together similar to puzzle pieces. As the soft skin of his mouth left the side of her face, the exact spot where they had come into contact burned and tingled. A hot blazing fire pulsed through her. Her cheeks painted themselves rose red.
As Jay draws closer she felt her heart beat so hard she feared he'll hear it.
A small lock of hair tumbled in front of her face, resting just in front of her cheek, but with one swift slide of his thumb, it was brushed out of the way.
Her perfume is intoxicating.
Her insides craved his touch. She craved his touch. As soon as his moist, plump lips imprinted on her neck, she lost all rational thought, she was just consumed by the thought of him.
He kissed her and the world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. His hand rested below her ear, his thumb caressing her cheek as their breaths mingled.
She ran her fingers down his spine, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them and she could feel the beating of his heart against her chest.
But she didn't realize that she was crying until she tasted the tears on her lips, as much as she tried to hold it, she couldn't anymore.
"Why are you Crying?" Jay breathed out after pulling away from her. "I don't know" was her response.
The truth was she didn't know why she was crying but he knew. She cared.
And that was the main reason he told her about his sickness, to make sure that she did. And his predictions came true. He couldn't describe the happiness he was feeling. "You care about me,"
Jay said smiling down at her, while he pushed away a bunch of hair from his face that was stuck with her tears. She looked like she would break if someone touched her, a China piece.
"I do,"
He kissed her again.
