Serena's P.O.V.

It was almost 7:30, and the music hall was becoming more and more crowded with fans continuing to pour in. I didn't realize I had so many fans in Toronto until that moment. And compared to the other shows, this one had the most attendees. And from behind the curtain, I could see the familiar faces of some fans from the previous shows. A girl with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes from the Ontario show stood in the front row behind the barricade. Another girl with black hair and her boyfriend, who was wearing a black beanie was standing next to her. I had seen them at the show in Ottawa.

"Okay, Serena. Last show for a while, you gotta give them everything you got," I whispered to myself as I looked up at the ceiling, praying to God that I would please them. One of the crew gave me my cue, and I walked onto the stage, taking a deep breath as I approached the mic and heard all the fans scream my name, holding up posters that said, "We love you, Serena!" "Thank you all so much for coming here tonight. It's quite a nice turnout to see all of you here. I see some new faces and some familiar ones too," I said.

The people in the front knew I was talking about them, and they started cheering louder. "How about we get this party started? Which song do you want to hear first?" I aimed the microphone in the crowd's direction, hoping to hear some song suggestions over the cheers and screams. Some asked for me to sing One Dance, others asked for Wrecking Ball. "Sing Moonlight!" A few bystanders shouted louder. Soon, other people started to request Moonlight. I smiled, knowing that they wanted to hear any song about Aidan.

I gave a small signal to T.J, silently telling her to turn on the demo. She complied, and the stage was soon covered in blue and purple lights that bathed me in color as I sang.

Serena: The sun is setting
And you're right here by my side
And the movie is playing
But we won't be watching tonight

Every look, every touch
Makes me wanna give you my heart
I be crushing on you, baby
Stay the way you are

Cause I never knew, I never knew
You could hold moonlight in your hands
Till the night I held you
You are my moonlight,
Moonlight

I kiss his fingertips
As I'm wishing he's all mine
He's giving me Elvis
With some James Dean in his eyes

Puts his lips on my neck
Makes me want to give him my body
I be falling for you, baby
And I just can't stop

Cause I never knew, I never knew
You could hold moonlight in your hands
Till the night I held you
You are my moonlight
Moonlight

Baby, I be falling
You're my moonlight
Moonlight

He's so bossy
He makes me dance
Tryna sit in the back of his whip
And just cancel my plans

Sweet like candy
But he's such a man
He knows just what it does
When he's holding me tight
And he calls me "Moonlight" too

On the final note, the crowd burst with applause, screaming as they gushed over one of my newest songs. It was safe to say that I had some of my fans hooked on the song. The show continued, with me singing Wrecking Ball, Why Don't I, as well as some of Aidan's songs, which I was certain were caught on video and posted to YouTube by the end of each song. "Do you remember our little tree? And all of the pictures you hung up of you and me? Oh, it took me an hour just to get em off that tree. That's how much you loved me,"

I softly pressed the ivory keys of the piano, playing the final note of Aidan's song. More applause and we were starting to approach the end of the concert, and already, I could feel the tears begin to flow, no matter how hard I tried to hold them back. All of the memories from the tour came flooding back all at once. The small afterparties T.J and I had in the bus, meeting some of the fans, and most importantly, performing in front of hundreds of fans.

"Alright, for those of you who have been there for me since the beginning, you might recognize that I sang this song at the audition where I met Aidan, back in Los Angeles. At first, I wasn't allowed to audition, but I auditioned anyway, and that's how I ended up here. So, I'm going to be singing my audition song. This is called King & Queens by Ava Max," I gave a brief intro before the lights changed again and the music started playing.

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancing on your own

Can't live without me, you wanna' but you can't, nah-nah-nah
Think it's funny, but honey, can't run this show on your own
I can feel my body shake there's only so much I can take
I'll show you how a real queen behaves, oh

No damsel in distress, don't need to save me
Once I start breathing fire, you can't tame me
And you might think I'm weak without a sword
But if I had one, it'd be bigger than yours

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own

Disobey me then baby, it's off with your head
Gonna change it and make it a world you won't forget
No damsel in distress, don't need to save me
Once I start breathin' fire, you can't tame me
And you might think I'm weak without a sword
But I'm stronger than I ever was before

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancing on your own

In chess, the king can move one space at a time
But queens are free to go wherever they like
You get too close, you'll get a royalty high
So breathe it in to feel alive

If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancing on your own.
