Karasuno Manager || Kageyama Tobio

Chapter 7

Karasuno was having their training camp which Tori was excited about. She glanced at Kageyama to see how he was excited as much as she was. She smiled at the sight, but it was replaced with a slight frown. However, she quickly wiped it off before anyone could see it.

Tori checked her phone when she got notified that she received a message from someone. She smiled when she realized it was Iwaizumi. 'Where are you? Oikawa is freaking out. Why aren't you answering his calls and messages?'

Tori sighed at the message. She muted Oikawa since she knew how he was going to react to her sleeping in the camp with the members especially with Kiyoko not sleeping at the site with them.

She thought for a while before replying, 'I have a training camp with the members. Don't tell nii-chan, he is probably going to overreact. Just tell him that I am over at my friend's house and going to spend the night there. Thanks!'

After she replied, she put her phone away to help Kiyoko with the drinks and towels.

Kiyoko offered Tori to join her, but Tori refused as she didn't want to intrude. So Kiyoko left while Tori headed for a quick shower. Once she was done, she was checking her phone. That was when she saw Iwaizumi's text. 'Sorry, he read the message beside me, so he found out.'

Tori paled and was wondering what to do when she heard a commotion at the entrance. Tori quickly rushed there to see Oikawa and Iwaizumi. Oikawa was yelling something while Iwaizumi was trying to calm him down. On the other hand, the members sweatdropped.

"Nii-chan!" Tori called out as soon as she reached the entrance.

Everyone glanced at her as Oikawa yelled. "Tori!"

"What are you doing here?!"

"You know exactly why I am here! Go pack up, we are going home!" Oikawa said as he crossed his arms.

Tori shook her head. "There is a training camp, which is the reason why I am here."

"Tori," Oikawa warned.

"Nii-chan, nothing is going to happen! Don't worry about it and just go!"

"Oikawa, she is not a child anymore. Let her do what she wants," Iwaizumi said in a tired manner.

Oikawa frowned in disapproval and tried to approach Tori, but she quickly hid behind Kageyama. Kageyama instinctively moved his arm back as if to protect her. Oikawa frowned at the sight.

"Nii-chan, do you not trust me?"

"I do trust you! But I don't trust them!" Oikawa argued.

"But I trust them!" She argued back.

As Oikawa continued to be stubborn, Suga tried to calm him down saying how nothing is going to happen. They will ensure that she will be safe. However, Oikawa did not listen to a single word he was saying.

As this continued, Iwaizumi's irritation grew larger that he ended up slapping Oikawa's head. "Knock it off! I get that you're worried, but let her breathe for once! She is responsible enough! Also, aunt gave her permission already!"

Oikawa pouted as he got dragged by Iwaizumi. "Wait, Iwa-chan! Tori!"

Iwaizumi ignored his cries and dragged him away, but not before warning the Karasuno members. "But if something actually does happen, you are not seeing the next daylight."

Iwaizumi has seen Tori since young along with Oikawa and Tori was practically his young sister as well. That explains how he has a soft spot for her. If something does happen to her, he will take care of those people.

After they have left, the others sighed in relief as it felt like a storm has passed by. 

"I'm sorry about him," Tori apologized to which everyone just shook their heads in understanding.

On the next day, Nekoma has arrived at Miyagi as they have scheduled a practice match with Karasuno. Tori was helping Nekoma since they didn't have a manager. As she was doing her task, Nekoma's captain came towards her. "Thanks for helping us."

She nodded with a smile. "No problem."

"I'm Kuroo Tetsurou," he introduced himself with a grin. "What might be your name, milady?"

Tori laughed at what he has called her before introducing herself as well. "I'm Oikawa Tori."

"What a pretty name for a pretty lady," he smiled.

"Pervert," The one with pudding head muttered beside him.

"Kenma?!" Kuroo yelled out in shock while Tori laughed.

As she was enjoying their conversation, she felt a gaze shooting lasers at all. She turned to the gaze and spotted Kageyama looking at her with a scowl. She tilted her head in confusion and mouthed, 'What?' But he did not say anything and turned his head away.

Kageyama did not understand why he was scowling at her when she didn't do anything wrong. However, he felt like dragging her away from them and make her stick to his side.

Before Tori could question him further, the whistle was blown and the practice match has begun.

In the end, Karasuno has lost incredibly. Nekoma's had a strong defense that it was hard for Karasuno, who was still weak with receives, to win against them. Although the practice match against Nekoma has ended, Coach Ukai decided to coach the team even further. It gave hope to the team to be able to improve even more and hopefully do a better job in the upcoming inter-high.
