"How are you doing, Tori?!" Oikawa yelled through the phone.
Tori frowned at his loud voice before answering him. "Fine, I guess. There's not much difference as our usual club days."
"Is anyone flirting with you?!"
Tori sighed at his question. "Why will anyone do that?"
That was when Oikawa went on about how pretty his sister was so everyone was probably looking for a chance to flirt with her. Tori, knowing how he can be, decided to not listen to his endless rambling, letting his words pass through her ears in and out. It was only stopped with the sound of something being hit along with Oikawa's yelp. "That hurt, Iwa-chan!"
Tori could not hear what Iwaizumi was saying, but Oikawa just lowered his voice a bit as he warned her before hanging up the call. "You better not get a boyfriend during the training camp! If anyone confesses to you, don't accept it!"
Tori stared at her phone with disbelief. "Why will I even get a boyfriend in a training camp?"

On the second day of the training, there was not much difference except for the fact that Karasuno was losing every match. They were struggling since they were trying to practice their modified moves. They were having a hard time with the drill assigned to the defeated teams, but they did not stop practicing their new moves.
The night has quickly arrived and Tori was drying her hair after she took a nice, quick shower. Once she was done, she lay on her futon as she hung with the managers. As they were talking about random topics, she felt her phone vibrate. Tori groaned thinking it was her brother, but her eyes widened when it was Kageyama instead. 'Are you free right now?'
She quickly typed her reply to send. 'Why? Did something happen?'
As soon as she sent her reply, Kageyama read and replied instantly. 'Can you come out for a while if you are free?'
'Okay,' she sent before telling the managers that she will be back soon.
When she headed out, she found Kageyama standing alone in the darkness. She quickly walked towards him and tapped on his shoulder. "Tobio."
Kageyama turned in her direction, but he was avoiding her eyes. Tori looked at him with furrowed brows. Why was he avoiding making eye contact? However, she knew that he has trouble with his words, so she waited for him to speak patiently.
After what felt like forever, Kageyama finally spoke. "T-Tori... Uh... I asked Suga-san about how I was f-feeling these past few days... and... h-he said that I... should t-tell you about it..."
"Okay, go on," she replied softly as she tried to hide her confusion.
Why was he shuttering? Was it something important? Something hard to say? Then why would Suga tell him to tell her about it? She will understand if he has secrets he wants to keep. Maybe he has a problem and Suga thought she was the appropriate person to give advice.
"W-Well... I... I..." Kageyama hesitated. He could not understand why he was having such a hard time telling her. He thought it was going to be easy, but how wrong he was. This was much harder than he thought. Kageyama took a deep breath before blurting out, "I like you!"
He sighed in relief when he finally let those words out as he carefully looked at her. Tori was staring at him with wide eyes and her mouth hung open. She ended up saying, "You what...?"
"I-I like you..." He said as his blush deepened, but got concealed by the darkness around them.
Tori pinched herself and yelped out in pain. Kageyama looked at her in shock. "What are you doing?!"
She did not reply to his question and asked once again. "Did I hear that right? Did you just say you like me? As in more than friends?"
When Kageyama nodded, Tori had so many emotions crashing into one another. She was so shocked that she could not form any words. At the same time, she was overjoyed that their feelings were mutual. However, she was also worried that he has mistaken his feelings and maybe Suga made a wrong interpretation. She was also worried since she remembered Kageyama's words where he said he doesn't want any distraction to volleyball.
Without thinking, she ended up blurting out, "Are you sure you like me? You are not confusing your feelings, right?"
Kageyama furrowed his brows. "Well, I asked Suga-san about it and he said that it meant I like you. When I was asking him, the others ended up eavesdropping and they all said the same thing."
Tori was still unsure about his feelings. She knows how he was like, but if he can't really determine his own feelings, is she still allowed to accept it?
As Tori hesitated, Kageyama continued. "I realized later that they were right. I always had feelings for you. I just never realized them because I was dense. These past few weeks, I've been jealous of all the people around you. How you praised Asahi-san, when you talked with Kuroo-san, even when you are close with Oikawa-san. That was weird since he is your brother."
When she heard his words, her eyes became teary as she asked him another question. "But you said, you didn't want any distraction to volleyball. What if I become a distraction?"
"You won't be," Kageyama said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Why will you be? You are interested in volleyball as well and you were always there for me. You always understood me. I don't think you will ever be a distraction. It's more like I need you in order to keep moving forward."
That was when her tears began to flow down from her eyes. Kageyama panicked as he didn't know what to do. He just did the first thing that popped into his mind. He just hugged her as he stroke her head. Tori hugged him back as she tried to calm herself down. Once she was finally calm, she continued to bury her face at the crook of his neck as she spoke. "I like you, too. I always did."
She felt Kageyama's heart beat even faster after hearing her words. She smiled as her heart was beating as fast as his. They continued to hug each other, trying to enjoy the moment as much as possible.
