The Rose Song

(Marinette and Adrien started dating a year ago and now they are 16. The class is on a trip to Gotham when they will be joining Gotham Academy to learn how America does schooling. During the field trip Marinette made Damian Wayne her new friend. Her class isn't really close to Marinette anymore and Marinette is starting to see that she is living her live through Adrien's eyes. And when they are given an assignment she thinks now is the perfect time to basically confront him.)

"Alright class! I am going to be giving the French class an a assignment. It is to play a piece of music they compose them selves. They may chose any instrument and can sing if they want." Mrs. Lee said to the class mixed with French and Americans. The students started whispering about the job their music teacher gave them before Mrs. Lee silenced them.

"There is one thing you must do. It must be something that can either be identified as a song that would most likely be played in a Disney movie or connect to a character in a movie. And you must not copy others or work in groups." At that the French class groaned. Not all of them were good at making songs by themselves.

Soon the bell rang signaling the end of school. As soon as Marinette exited the door Alya came up with Lila.

"Hey girl do you know what you're doing your song based off of?"

Marinette had to think for a moment.

"Um yeah.. Actually. It's based off of Beauty and the Beast."

Lila and Alya looked at each other with a weird look before Lila started saying in a 'sweet' voice.

"Well good luck Marinette! You are gonna need it. Seeing how clumsy you are we don't want you to mess up do we?" Alya giggles as that is said.

"O-oh um y-yeah." Marinette stutters while trying to hide how much that hurt.

"Well bye girl! Good luck again." Alya winks as she and Lila walk away while whispering how Marinette wont be any better than anyone in the class. I mean no one has heard Marinette play an instrument or sing before.

"Hey Mari!" Adrien says while walking up to Marinette and kissing her cheek.

"Hey Adrien." Marinette said while putting on a smile that didn't quite meet her eyes. Though Adrien didn't notice.

"Good luck on the assignment! I have to go meet Nino. He is helping my write my music while I help him." Before Marinette could respond Adriens walks away.

As Marinette was walking she was lost in thought. She didn't realize where she was going till she bumped into something, or rather someone. Marinette snapped her head up to see half of Damian's glare before his face softened.

"Nice to see you too Marinette."

"I am soooo sorry Damian I wasn't looking where I was going because I was so lost in thought and then I bumped into you and now I am rambling." Marinette started as she flushed red from embarrassment. 

"Hey it's okay. I wish you luck on your music assignment though I don't think you really need it. You are already really talented. But I have to go before Grayson gets annoyed that I'm not in the car. Can't wait to hear your song."  Damian smiles at her.

"O-oh um thank you! I really needed that. See you Monday!" Marinette said as Damian waves and walks off.

Marinette can't help the warm and fuzzy feeling she is feeling at the moment. Something about Damian just make her feel that way and she can't figure out what.

It was now Monday and the last period. Every one in the French class was busy the entire weekend working on their song and now it was time to play what they made.
