Speechless

"Don't speak! You are merely a child, your voice is nothing in this matter!"

The booming voice of Ra's al'Ghul echoed across the hall. Standing beside him was his daughter, Talia, and his grandson, Damian. In front of him was the beaten little girl known as Damian's twin, Mara.

Mara cried her heart out as she was dragged away by assassins. Her punishment was just beginning.

Damian wanted to help his twin. He loved her dearly. But he was only 4 and he didn't want to get hurt. Plus the hand on his shoulder kept him from moving at all.

"She is nothing!"

"She is my daughter!"

"I should have killed her when she was born."

"I'll train her harder."

Mara winced as she listened to the conversation. She was never liked by her grandfather. She didn't even know if her own mother liked her.

A hand grabbed her shoulder and she was getting ready to attack when the person stopped her. It was her twin.

Damian put a finger up to her mouth in order to keep her quiet. He then motioned for her to follow him.

Mara followed and was led to a secret vent. Though it was familiar. Damian often took her there just so they both could sketch and spend time with each other in secret.

Once they got there Damian immediately hugged her. The young 6 year old quietly cried into his shoulder.

At least her brother cared.

She trusted him.

"Shut up, child."

"Don't speak."

"Take her away."

It was an endless cycle.

She talks in front of anyone in the league, she gets hurt.

One wrong move and then she is beaten nearly to death.

She wanted to be glad that she was free from that at last, after 10 long years of that bullshit....

But now she was alone with some random family. Her brother no where in sight.

"WHERE IS SHE?!?" Damian screamed as he was dragged off to some ship.

"She is not important at the moment! What is important is getting you to your father, do you understand me?" Talia growled.

"No! I don't! Why can't she come with me! She is my sister!"

"She isn't worth your time! She is a weakness! Look at you." Talia shakes her head in disappointment.

Damian glares at his mother before moving to sit far away from her.

"Shut up you whore." Alya growls out.

Mara—or Marinette now— screamed out in pain as Kim dug a knife deep into her side.

Once she looked over she saw the sinister smile of the snake herself.
