Marinette skips to school ready for the new school year thinking one thing... 'I can't wait to tell Alya how my trip to Gotham went! Maybe she can meet my boyfriend soon!'

Let's rewind a bit.

It is currently the last year of Lycee. Over the summer Marinette went with Gina, her Nona, to Gotham. Apparently when Gina stays there she stays with the Waynes seeing as her old friend is their butler. So when Marinette met the Waynes they immediately adopted her into the family.

Damian and Marinette grew particularly close. One day they were hanging out in the gardens of Wayne Manor and next thing you know they are kissing each other. And that was when they became official.

What ever Marinette felt for Adrien disappeared over the summer. The things she feels for Damian are so much different than what she felt for Adrien.

During Marinette's stay in Gotham she became Gotham's Angel and the Sunshine of Gotham. She is protected by everyone. Even the rouges!

Now... back to present time.

As Marinette walks into Mlle Bustier's class... again. Same people. She notices someone in her seat. Talking to her best friend. Making her best friend laugh.

It hurt Marinette. Suddenly the bright smile on her face was gone.

Then she noticed her.

"Oh hey Marinette! Glad you are back! This is Sophia! One of my childhood friends. She transferred here." Alya says.

"O-Oh... hi." Marinette says.

Then Adrien and Nino walk in. Alya smirks at Marinette but Marinette ignores it to greet her friends.

"Hey Adrien! Hey Nino!" Marinette smiles. That causes Alya to look at Marinette weirdly. 'No stutter?'

Nino and Adrien noticed the new girl talking to Alya and they both suddenly noticed how bad it made Marinette feel.

"Hey dudette."

"Hello Marinette!"

Suddenly Mlle Bustier walks in. "Alright class! Everyone have a seat." Marinette goes to the back and sits down while looking at the back of Alya's head. "Today we have a new student so why don't you come up and introduce yourself?"

Sophia gets up and smiles at the class. "My name is Sophia! I went to school with Alya before she transferred here."

"Cool!"

"Hi Sophia!"

"Wow!"

"Alright thanks Sophia you may have a seat." Mlle Bustier smiles. She then starts class.

It's been a few months since Sophia has joined the class. Alya hasn't talked to Marinette for a while but when they do talk it's just a few words.

Marinette sits in the back row listening to Mlle Bustier or texting Damian. Damian had been a great help getting through the fallout with Alya.

During lunch Alix comes up to Alya. "Hey Alya?"

"Hey Alix! What's up?" Alya smiles back, stopping her conversation with Sophia.

"Why aren't you talking to Marinette anymore? Marinette has been so lonely." Alix says.

"I..." Alya looks at Marinette who sits across the room talking on her phone.

"You should talk to her." Alix says then walks away.
