Wait A Damn Minute...

Adrien and Marinette were just playing video games in Adriens bedroom. The two now like siblings after revealing each other, learning a lot more about each other like how Marinette was crazy in love with her childhood friend she's known since she was 10.

Anyways....

Marinette had a tendency to joke about stuff. "Stuff" being Adrien's mommy and daddy issues.

Marinette was relaxing , easily taking another win. Adrien, was getting frustrated.

"What! How am I dead!?!"

"Dead like your mom."

"What-" Adrien stares at Marinette. Marinette was trying to hold back her laugh.

"You know they never actually found her body or anything. She just disappeared and they assumed she was dead." Adrien spoke after a long LONG moment of silence.

"Shit... really?" Marinette's eyes widen.

"Yeah... part of me thinks she isn't really gone." Adrien sighs.

"Oh my gods! What if she wasn't dead!" Marinette smiles.

Adrien stares at her, immediately knowing what was about to happen.

"Imagine if your dad locked her in a basement!" Marinette laughs loudly.

Adrien freezes up. Marinette notices this and freezes too.

Wait a damn minute.

Fuck.

"Adrien." Marinette says sternly.

"Yes?" Adrien whispers.

"You guys don't have a basement... right?"

"I-I don't know. I mean Plagg mentioned something about seeing something suspicious that had something to do with one-"

"So you could have one?!?"

Adrien nods.

"Well shit." Marinette stares outside for a second and then immediately jumps up.

"What are you doing?" Adrien asks.

"I was just joking about this! But the fact that it could be a possibility is too crazy to ignore!!!!!!" Marinette goes and grabs a random bat as she freaks out.

"We aren't seriously about to go look are we?!?" Adrien panics too.

"Might as well do it while your dad isn't here!" Marinette angrily says.

Adrien keeps panicking as Marinette drags him around to possible rooms that could hold a secret entrance to a super secret basement.

...

Adrien and Marinette stare at the door to the last room that they haven't checked. Gabriel's study room thingamabob. What ever.

"No! We can't go in there! I'm rarely ever allowed in there myself!" Adrien panics... again.

"But this could be where the super secret basement is! Isn't it a little suspicious that he never lets you in here unless he calls for you?" Marinette points out the obvious.

"Well yeah but-"

"NO BUTS! We are entering... right... now!" She then pushes the door open.

As they investigate the room Marinette can't help but be drawn to the portrait of Emilie. Something was off about it. And as she walks closer to inspect it, she notices finger prints on certain areas. Looking closer she notices little diamond outline.

She immediately puts her fingers where the finger prints were. Nothing happens. Then she pushes away from the painting, accidentally pushing down on the painting, causing her to push down on buttons.

Marinette shrieks as she starts going down on a... one person elevator?

"Mari!"

"WHAT THE HELL!" Marinette panics as the elevator stops.

She gets off of it and just stands there. Soon Adrien is right beside her.

"Oh my god... it's a super secret basement." Adrien whispers.

"Yeah and its kinda creepy! Look there is literally one light in the center and that's it." Marinette points out.

"What is that human sized container? Are those bushes!?!" Adrien asks incredulously.

They walk forward and come face to face with a sleeping Emelie Agreste.

"Adrien it's your mom! She's so much hotter in person!" Marinette smiles.

Adrien was speechless. That was until a butterfly landed on his hand. He shrieked.

"WHY ARE THERE BUTTERFLIES!"

"I DONT KNOW! BUT IM CALLING THE POLICE!"

...

Adrien and Marinette watch as Emelie gets put into the back of an ambulance. They were speechless. How could a joke turn into this?

"Now my mom jokes don't work anymore." Marinette pouts.

"Good.... Why were there so many butterflies?" Adrien asks as police go inside the manor to investigate the place.

"Oh! Maybe your dad is Hawkass!" Marinette laughs.

Adrien laughs a little. Then the two freeze up immediately, remembering something.

"Holy shit."

"Well fuck."
