Chapter 25- screams

Justin's POV
My hand griped hers as I stared at her. Her left leg was elevated, and her head was stitched up. She had hit her head and they had put her in a coma so she could heal. I focused on the sparks and tingles that flew up my hand.

"Come on baby" I whispered in her ear "wake up" I kissed her cheek.

I didn't expect it to work.

Her eyes fluttered and I was staring into her beautiful eyes "J-j-j-Justin" she stuttered shocked "shhh Baby" I cupped her cheek. I'd heard from other Alpha that had found their mates after rejecting them they hated them.

Ignored them. And wouldn't let them touch her.

But Diana leaned into my touch and smiled at me. "I'm so sorry" I cried as I held her in my arms know. "No Justin I'm sorry" she whispered broken. "What do you have to be sorry about?"'I laughed bitterly.

"I was a b$tch to everyone! I ran away from my ex-boyfriend" she sobbed. BOYFRIEND! "Boyfriend!" I screamed "yes" she looked down ashamed. I got up and shot her a glare she flinched under my stare. I noticed her tattoo and pie rings that made her look sexy.

"I hope you can understand" she whispered as I stormed from the room. How could she? I stopped after she left! And then she goes and gets a boyfriend!?! I mean what kind if mate is she? I ran outside in the rain, which was pouring and shifted.

Right now I don't want anything to do with her.

Diana's POV
I shouldn't have told him, but if I didn't guilt would have eaten me. "Diana" Toby's voice wavered from the door "Toby" I cried and he hugged me "I'm so sorry, so so sorry" he cried on my shoulder.

"It's ok, I'm sorry to I shouldn't have ran" I told him in his ear. "It's not ok, you were all I had left, after mom" he trailed off. "The past is the past Toby, let's focused on the future" I told him wisely.

"I will make it up to you, I promise" he vowed and kissed my cheek "I gotta go Athen is worried" his eyes lit up when he talked about her. "Go I'll be fine" I chuckled lightly even though I was hurting.

As he left Dr. Ramirez came in "Ms. Clark it appears you can lucky to be here" he told me "you have barely any blood but yet your heart still beats" he said "I know" I whispered looking down.

"I heard what happen with Alpha, don't worry he'll come around" he winked and checked my leg.

I wish Doc was right. Over the next several days I got to know Athena, bonded with Toby, but Justin never came around. My leg healed with the pills Dr. Ramirez gave me but I pro side to wear a green brace.

Limping down stairs I bumped into Toby "hey Tobs, I need a favor" I asked sheepishly "what" he asked warily. "Can you drop me off so I get my car, I need to go home" I told him and he growled. "Calm you pits I live a mile away" I smacked him and he grinned sheepishly.

"In tags case, sure!" he chirped and I limped for the car. During the ride we chatted endlessly until I reached my car "you can follow me and see where I live if you'd like" I offered and he nodded. Jumping in I started my truck up.

I sang the whole ride home. Gabe and Andy! I hit the gas pedal and went faster until gravel was flying. When I stepped from the car Andy and Gabe hugged me "we though you died!" they growled and held me.

"Just got hit by a car ya know" I joked and explained the whole thing to them. Toby pulled in just as I finished. "Beta Toby" they bowed "warrior Gabe and Andy" he greeted. "Sorry Chico we gotta spilt!" they ruffled my hair and shifted running into the woods.

"Nice place" Toby whistled lowly "uh thanks" I blushed and lead him into my house "damn" he commented as he saw the Xbox on and Samsung smart Tv "help yourself!" I called as I walked into the kitchen.

I made us turkey sandwiches with blue raspberry Jolly rancher pop (a real thing I've had it, it's the best!). "Thanks" he paused the game and dug in "crap! Sorry I gotta go" Toby raced from the house with a sandwich in his hand. I giggled and cleaned up. Now the house seemed empty.

I looked at the clock. 12:30 AM, wow it was late. But I was restless, I felt energized to no end.

I shouldn't even be here. I can't waltz in here and pretend that everything will be ok. I shouldn't be doing is. I started weeping and the rain pounded harder outside. My mom told me when it rains an angel is crying. I trudge up to my room still weeping.

My room was beige and coca brown with a huge head board that was coca brown and silky. Along with a balcony that overlooked the backyard. My king sized bed called to me. First I had to shower. So I grabbed my Victoria's Secret frilly night gown and underwear.

I scrubbed with my Shea butter shampoo and citrus body wash. Since my shower head had a built in speaker I used Bluetooth and played 'Fireproof' by One Direction and I sang every line. After dressing I used the hair dryer and i flipped off the lights to go to bed.

Turning to get comfortable I looked out the balcony glass doors and screamed.

There on the balcony two green eyes were staring at me.
